Believe it or not, I’m also like this during college since I’m not a morning person…
As expected, this is yet another “cool down” episode as the yacht club cleans up their ship. Marika also picks up the garbage and belongings that they left on the Bentenmaru. Obviously, cleaning a ship is a tiresome and tedious task since one has to throw out the garbage, put valuables in containers and carry them to the right area. I find it amusing how Marika uses the power of gravity to make moving stuff a lot easier despite having some problems like having garbage scattered in the gravity-less air.
Aside from the cleaning, there is some conflict between Grunhilde’s envy over Gruier being closer to Marika. I can understand how she feels since sibling rivalry happens often both in real life and in frictional stories because one will always have an advantage over the other. With Marika’s sleepiness and her carelessness from dropping the ring, it gives Grunhilde an opportunity to have the whole yacht club unlock the Bentenmaru and dock it. That is rather nice of them and I liked how the producers effectively used all the characters in the show. However, this was rather sneaky since she didn’t give the ring back to Marika until trouble occured.
While the third arc comes to an end, I’m somewhat disappointed that Misa finally returned. Apparently, some people just find her really annoying. Even so, it looks like Kane will make a comeback as the Yacht Club’s advisor and teacher. From that, the next episode gives us a beach episode with sailing and fighting simulations for some competition. Although not actual piracy, I wonder how that will go…
Waitaminute… I went into your review assuming I had already watched this episode. Then I started not recognizing your screencaps and realized I’m behind by a week. Thank you for spoiling everything.
In any case, Grunhilde is my favorite character. She’s always so out of place and awkward, like she has a stick up her butt.
Of course, I’m not responsible for any spoilers caused… but its kind of sad that Grunhilde don’t get much screen time than her older sister. As a result, not much is known about her. But who knows, it might change in the future episodes since she gotten over her jealousy.
