Oh J.C. Staff and your tsundere girls… I can never get tired of them.
It seems that J.C. Staff’s obsession with tsundere girls haven’t died down in the recent years. Like Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Ookami-san and Zakuro that I saw last year, Hidan no Aria is no exception to their tsundere craze. The only difference is that Rie Kugimiya is taking the role of a tsundere named Aria two years after she voiced Taiga. Sounds familiar? Yep!
The overall setting seems to be very interesting with the over dramatic intro. Self-riding Segways that has guns pursuing a normal student riding on a bike with a bomb strapped to it is not an everyday occurrence. Basically, it’s the notorious “Butei Killer” that chases our male lead named Kinji who desires a normal life. Soon after, a loli twin-tailed flat-chest tsundere named Aria saves him from the killer Segway… Hilarity ensues when he looks at her bra that causes her to go crazy for being a pervert. Even though it’s predictable, I laughed pretty hard when she beats him up and go axe crazy.
Besides the intense action scenes, it seems that Kinji is also building an unwanted harem. Besides Aria, he has a very attractive childhood friend named Shirayuki, which uses every possible chance to win him over. Also, there is Riko, the cutest moe girl of this show besides the tsundere. Both girls are well endowed that add more to Aria’s angst of being flat chested. It makes me wonder how he is going to deal with this while he has to deal with other possible “Butei Killers.”
Like with all the tsundere JC Staff shows I have seen thus far, Hidan no Aria is rather enjoyable and interesting. Even though there are some hate for this because of the tsundere, I liked it since tsundere Aria is just so cute. Hopefully the next episode continues with the comedy and the epic battles with some more tsuntsun Aria.
Also, the opening theme was rather good. On the other hand, the ending theme is meh.
Ah yes JC Staff and Tsunderes forever!
This was so good high animation and the main guy doesn’t suck! He is actually quite awesome, damn guns in school was a bit strange…. But hey that was fun.
The animation is good, but I am kind of concerned if it’s going to end lukewarm towards the end of the season. Considering their track record of giving rather disappointing ending like Ookami-san, I am worried of how it will ends, but still promising though.
