Kirino, Kuroneko and Saori throw a party for Kyousuke to cheer him up … except there is a surprise that he doesn’t find out until the day of the event.
The escape key is one of best keys to get out of any sticky situations. Unfortunately for Kyousuke, Kirino is jealous at his childhood friend, Manami at everything she does. This means that Kirino has to act like a jerk and set up a trap in his room. She spread out meganekko-fetish porn mags on his bed and have an eroge visual novel playing on the laptop. The reaction from Manami over the magazines and the ero scene that have a girl with glasses is unexpected. Most people will react negatively towards it, but Manami doesn’t, I guess she is so proud of Kyousuke for liking girls with glasses that she didn’t disapprove it.
The second part of the episode had a party with Kirino, Saori and Kuroneko wearing maid outfits seen in Episode 9. They are pretty cute, but the reactions from them cause the receptionist to stare at him for no apparent reason that embarrassed Kyousuke. There were some hilarious moments with Kuroneko’s manga with characters that look like Manami, Kyousuke and Kirino doing embarrassing things and Kuroneko calling him “nii-san.” As a result of those activities, it got Kyousuke and Kirino in a confrontation.
The apology at the end of the episode is what many people discussed about. Seriously, Kirino acted like a total jerk even though Kyousuke helped her make friends with the same interest, protect her hobby from their father, mend the relationship with her friend Ayase and convinced the anime studio to don’t mess up her adaption. Sure these actions could take a hit on his reputation, but he does since he cares for Kirino as a younger sister. Telling her off for acting a jerk is an acknowledgement that Kirino is wrong for being nasty towards him and Manami.
Even though some didn’t like how this apology played out, I think it was good. At first, Kirino was reluctant to apologize to him, but she eventually does it. I think she did this since she is grateful that her bother protected her hobby. Watching her being so deredere while doing it is pretty much adds to the moment since tsunderes are difficult to understand. Nevertheless, this was her first step in appreciating her brother a bit more…
So what did she give him for the present? Her “godly” eroge of course!
With that out of the way, this leaves us the last episode out of the whole season. I wonder what will be the good ending…
Kuroneko’s presentation is so funny. She really shines in this episode. Maid outfit, nekomimi, onii-chan… So adorable.
I agree… She is basically the best character out of the series because the way she acts… Kirino is okay, but so tsuntsun.
