In this lovely episode of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, we are introduced to two lovely girls named Mary and Kate for whom they saved Hercule and the cat. However, the girls don’t know about the ladies malicious activities towards Kamaboko that dealt with their love lives.
The whole premise of Mary and Kate taking out revenge on Kamaboko is utterly ridiculous. I know it’s tough to get over the boyfriend that dumped you. However, taking revenge on an innocent cat is insane. Not only that, Animal Rights and Welfare groups will go apesh*t over the strangling and doodling of the cat. They should be ashamed of themselves.
The irony is, the thieves and Kamaboko knows more about Mary and Kate’s malevolent intentions than the girls at Milky Holmes. The girls should have known that something was fishy with the ladies when Kamaboko acted funny around them, the attempted catnapping and lastly, the doodling on the cat’s face. It just blows my mind… but then again, ridiculous things like these is what make this show rather unique…
In effort to find Kamaboko, Milky Holmes dressed in their detective outfits to investigate and hand out missing cat posters. In the end though, it was a failure and they just got baskets of food. They also ran into the G3, which was still missing their tsundere leader. Eventually, the girls find the cat and ended up on the roof where the two women and the thieves were fighting each other.
Finally, Mary and Kate decide to drop the grudge after Kamaboko saved them from the bomb. So yeah, the ladies never show their true selves to Milky Holmes.
Sure, Mary and Kate was not as exciting as the upper cutting bear in the previous episode, but It still had some enjoyable moments. The funny moments in this episode primarily came from Twenty since he was very obsessive of his pillow that has a picture of himself. He even gets upset when the two ladies threw a knife to it. Shortly after, Twenty gets violated by the rose vines, which brings out his weird personality to its max.
I still wonder, what ever happened to Kokoro? She escaped? NO WAY!
I love that Mary is a full-blown parody of Rue from Princess Tutu. Same character, but with green hair!
