K-ON!! Second Season – Episode 11 – So Hot!

June 19, 2010 by chikorita157 Leave a Comment

So hot... Can't move...

Ah, summer, it’s that time of season where you want to be at the beach (unless your beach is polluted by BP’s oil spill, damn bastards) or at the pool. What happens if you are stuck in school? Well…

When I was in high school, pretty much the whole school was hot because most of the classrooms didn’t have air conditioning. It makes it quite difficult for people to concentrate because the students are sweating like crazy. Some students also want to put their head down because of the heat. This pretty much changed because at college since most of the buildings have air conditioning. If they didn’t, students wouldn’t apply for summer courses.

The girls face the same situation and its pretty ridiculous on how they manage to cool themselves such as…

Tsundere tails works...

Funny because Mio almost looks like Azunyan with those twin tails… Its like Azunyan having her hair down which makes her look like Mio.Of course Ritsu gets a bop on the head for tying Mio’s hair.

Some MugiVision going around... and Mugi loves it!

What a genius, why not just wear the school swimsuits? Not to mention, this kind of reminded me of this one episode of a certain Anime.

Except, they are more revealing...

Well of course, Episode 5 of Seitokai no Ichizon had girls in swimsuits and bikinis! There is also another thing I can draw from this episode…

So hot...

They break out the fan, well because the air conditioning broke in Seitokai. On the other hand, Mio takes out the old fan from storage and the group hog the fan while Ritsu have none. Fan fighting is serious business because cold air only goes in one direction with a fan.

Holy Shit! This is probably one of the highlights of this episode.

Idiot Ritsu stole the fan and put it at high power when she knew that the old fan couldn’t take it. There we get the first, out of the blue scene ever shown in a slice of life anime. A green fan blade broke off. It flied and bounced all over the place, which made me laugh like crazy. Of course the fan gets a memorial.

Other methods they used to cool themselves is sweating in the animal costumes, thinking about cool things and putting their feet in a bucket of ice and water, which didn’t last so long.

Remember the pet turtle that Azunyan take care of? Well, it’s shredding its skin and Azusa asks for a bigger tank so it can grow. They ask Sawa-chan to get the tank from Mugi’s. In the end, Mugi was the only one that went with Sawa-chan…

Mugi is so amazed...

Mugi seems to be fascinated with everything. Its because she is rich and never explored much of the outside world… It’s pretty much like Nogizaka Haruka when she goes out with Yuuto to explore places outside her mansion… Its pretty similar, but one has more fanservice than the other.

Turtle is now happy in the new, bigger tank.

It’s so funny it took them so long to finally realize that Sawako’s office has air conditioning. When they found out, now they want one. Yui and Ritsu goes to the Student Council, which shown the funniest scene in the whole episode besides the flying fan blade:

This skit made me laugh hard...

This part is probably the best scene that came out of Yui… Basicly, she begs to god for it to give the Light Music Club an air conditioner. This skit was meant for the Student Council President so that she can approve an air conditioner for the club. They realized that Ritsu forgot to go to one of the meetings so that they could get an air conditioner. It makes me wonder why they need an air conditioner if they do nothing but eat cake and goof off. In the end, they manage to convince them and they got one.

Yes! We are in heaven!

Thanks to Ritsu, the Light Music Club finally got cool air and they don’t have to suffer through the 100 degree Fahrenheit weather… Now they have no excuse not to practice, but…

Not this again...

It blows my mind that Yui can’t take the heat or the cold… What was the point of the Light Music Club getting the air conditioner if Yui couldn’t handle the cold? That pretty much defeats the purpose of getting an air conditioner in the first place. At least they can’t complain about not having one… Next, they probably will be begging for a heater next since Yui can’t take the cold, when she knows damn well that she can’t take the heat. Who knows.

Episode 11 was pretty representative to our lives as most people can’t handle the heat. Also, extreme heat can cause heat strokes, so there is a need for an air conditioner besides providing comfort. This pretty much sums it up and be sure not to use an old fan, or you will know what will happen to the fan blade…

Verdict

8.9/10 ¶
