Round 2 Followup
The successor of the Round 1 Followup
Since I have gone through the 32 blog hurdle, I can finally write my thoughts about Round 2 as a whole. Unlike Round 1, there isn’t really much I criticize besides the design issues and synopsis blogging. My surprise is that Random Curiosity won against Behind The Nihon Review. This means that RandomC will give a bad influence to new bloggers and that they are elitists. RandomC like synopsis is the only issue that I came across with a few blogs in this round along with not so frequent posting.
Design Issues: Although 98% of the blogs viewed properly on the iPad, only two had issues. Keep in mind that the MobileSafari browser does not like having stuff sticking out of the content area since MobileSafari automatically formats the site to 1024×768 resolution. My suggestion is to put the stuff inside the content area to avoid this from happen. This is important because iPad and other media tablets are becoming popular and most users of these devices are probably going to use this for reading your blog. So heed the word and make your sites iPad compatible (although in most cases, owners don’t have to do anything as they will view properly).
I have noticed the unfairness of the voting process with AstroNerdBoy and people doing negative campaigning. It disgusts me. I would have thought people will take it in a rational way, but no. The people who push for these negative campaign just do it so AstroNerdBoy would look bad and he doesn’t deserve this… I don’t think any person should deserve this despicable action by these type of people. Who cares how people run things on their blog since in the end, content is more important. I don’t care what these people say, but the AniBlog Tourney is not an Election. This means nobody should be doing any mudslinging at all.
Overall, there isn’t much I can say for Round 2 since most of what I said in the first round also applies to the second round.
Round 2 also gave me lots of surprises. Among them were Hanner’s victory over Ghostlightning and the Janai/RP tie. Oh, my blog getting pass Wakaranai still baffles me till this day. Random C…I don’t think it won because of the contents but because of its large silent readers.
