Mostly lighthearted moments with some drama…
Well, the episode basically starts off with Takeshi’s flashback on a little girl who was killed… or is it? This becomes the main premise where he attacks Matsuri at Yorito’s house while he wasn’t home since he was visiting Aono. He ends up defending Matsuri later at the end by taking the hit from Takeshi. Mana comes to where Yorito was and was clueless what had just happened.
However, it’s not the main focus of the episode and has typical slice of life moments. She meets Yorito at a convience store and she buys the drink that Yorito said it tasted horrible (Yes, she have very strange taste in food) and promises her someday that he will show her the sky when it was sunny.Since it was raining, Matsuri was dressed in a different outfit (and a really cute one at that). Yorito loses his umbrella because Matsuri pulls a prank on him by ringing a stranger’s door bell. Next, Matsuri wants to ride a boat and they did and used the bottom of the umbrella to give the illusion that they are riding in a clear day.
Later, Yorito finds clothing in the living room that some clothes that she borrowed from Mana. While she was sorting them out, a door started to open and Matsuri came and finds out it was Koyori. She leaves and goes back to the room and finds out Takeshi was there, ready to attack her and this pretty much contradicts everything Takeshi said to Yorito in the Special Episode 1 (which happens between Episodes 4 and 5.)
For the most part, it was enjoyable. I found that Matsuri’s outfit is rather cute, but makes me wonder… why does she like that drink so much? In contrast to Misuzu’s “thick peach nectar” that Yukito doesn’t seem to be fond of, I guess it can be the same thing. Also, the moment where Matsuri and Yorito riding the boat is a rather cute moment. However, I find that the plot is getting a bit faster than the latter, but it’s all good… as long it turns out good in the end. 🙂
Also, Takeshi, nice try, but it can’t be that easy… You have to try harder… or maybe… give up.
Verdict
9/10
Matsuri in pony-tail is a win!!!
