After Ika was abused in the last episode, she finally gets to relax and have fun a bit. Maybe not since she gets sick in the first part, but after that it became a really enjoyable and hilarious moment.
Part I – Ika Shrimp Obsession Illness
Gesoninmurobongo Disease is probably the weirdest illness observed in human history. The condition basically deals with Ika’s over craving of shrimp. If she is given shrimp, she will die. The symptoms from Gesoninmurobongo Disease are a high fever, feeling of weakness, craving of shrimp and tantrums. Sadly, giving her non-shrimp things and a picture that has shrimp doesn’t really help. Fortunately, Sanae in a shrimp costume will heal Ika’s illness… and yes, the costume scares the crap out of Ika.
I have to be honest, I felt a bit sorry for Ika when she tries to grab the shrimp on the paper. If you add emotion striking music like 潮鳴りfrom Clannad and you will be crying in tears in that scene.
Part II – My Turd Castle and Head Fin
While Ika is good at 99% of the things she does, sand castles isn’t her thing. Instead, she makes a sand turd (or a pile of poo). In my opinion, it looked pretty disgusting. She eventually beats the boy’s father who is a sculptor since Ika made a moving sand tentacle that ruined his castle. In my opinion, what she did to the boy’s father was pretty mean to me.
Besides that, Ika’s head fins actually moves! She even uses it to slap Sanae… Amazing! Since they picture Ika flying with those fins, it brought up a really interesting point. There is actually a specific species of squids that can actually fly. Unfortunately, Ika can’t with her current form.
Part III – Fun with Umbrellas
Umbrellas are great tools to repel water when you walk in the rain. I use one since I don’t have a hood on my coat. Sadly, it’s always windy when I use it and it eventually inverts itself. One time, the metal bars that support the umbrella made a cut on my finger. It was painful.
Ika on the other hand finds umbrellas as a pretty amazing weapon to use in her invasion. When Eiko and Ika go out to shop, Ika is left outside. She plays and does tricks with the umbrella until it blew away on got ruined by a truck.
I wish I could do those tricks in real life since it looks pretty fun. Maybe I can attract a crowd with them if I practice a lot… nah!
