At last, the show finally ends! Did we ever find out about the secrets behind the fragments?
In short, no… Besides a mind screw moment in Episode 12 where Touko is not recognized by any of her friends in an alternate reality, the last episode can be summed up as this: Touko and Kaekeru throws some glass beads when the meteor shower occurs. The next day, Kaekeru just disappears as summer break comes to an end and school resumes as Touko is forgotten by her friends.
Final Impressions
I have to admit that Glasslip is by far the worst PA Works show I have seen thus far. It’s such a shame since the production values were nice and I liked some of the characters (especially Hina). However, the story had so many flaws that it affected the viewing experience. While I will share my thoughts on why the series failed in a separate editorial piece in the near future (the final review will be short), I felt that the plot was incomplete. Because of this, it made the show felt unsatisfying and boring to watch.
Overall Rating: 5.7/10, F, Failure
I told you at the beginning of the Summer season. If this show were about chicken farming it would have been SO much better.
Talking about chickens, True Tears would have probably been a better show than this… which reminds me that I have to finish it one of these days.
