Stalker! Stalker! He keeps following me!
After all that hilarious commotion from that Spanish guy chasing after Wakana from last episode, the conclusion was hilarious. Wein just went in the cab to catch up, gone out and tackle the man down to the stairs. The funny part about the whole thing is that it was a big misunderstanding. After all, that guy only wanted to have her visit his band that her mother composed music with.
From the first two episodes, that piece that her mother wrote is becoming more apparent in terms of her reputation. She not only composed music for the school, but also for the old guys band, which is well received despite being a one-hit-wonder. Although the show still doesn’t give enough details, Wakana losing her mother is perhaps the reason why she gave up on music before joining Konatsu’s new “Choir and Badminton” club. Also, it could explain why the Vice Principal is very reluctant to allow Konatsu to sing that song that Wakana’s mother composed at first. Perhaps she doesn’t want to get reminded of that tragedy or something. Either way, I think they will expand upon that in future episodes and maybe, she might regain the reason to sing again.
Aside from that, I did enjoy their singing of some type of Hawaiian song or something. It’s funny that Sawa’s anger allowed Konatsu to carry on the performance as intended and not give it up. Still, she is amazing, although her mother also slapped Konatsu in the butt. This makes me wonder why they do that. Perhaps it’s a family tradition to motivate people. Even so, it’s a rather effective way to show some fanservice subtly without having it shoved right in your face.
Yeah, I was wondering about that as well, is it a family tradition or what? Moreover, it has anything to do with the temple?
Not sure, but it’s certainly a weird tradition. It’s kind of funny that she always does it to Konatsu, but not to Wakana or anyone else… I wonder….
