While Rhiannon lays down a flower ring for the deceased Rubrum soldiers, she finds herself getting kidnapped by Gaius. The resulting reaction from the Gaels was obvious…
In comparison to Arthur, Rhiannon has always been kindhearted and rarely participate in any battles since she mostly serves as a healer through her magic. As a result, she doesn’t get much screen time and spends most of the time helping around the castle. Everyone seems to enjoy her presence because she is a wonderful girl. Unfortunately for her, Gaius kidnaps her. This caused many of her peers to worry, especially Arthur for obvious reasons. On the other hand, her time at the empire’s base allowed us to see more of her personality as she takes care of Gaius’s forces temporarily.
During her stay at the base, she shared her kindness when one of the soldiers got seriously injured. Even though he was an enemy, it was grateful to see her heal the injured person since she felt obligated to help. Eventually, she won the hearts of the soldiers when she cooks and serves stew for them. Although the soldiers appreciate her work, Gaius has a different philosophy of creating peace, which troubles her.
It’s clear that Gaius wants peace by using brute force to conquer. For Rhiannon, she feels that his approach is hateful and full of disgrace. She would rather have them make a peace treaty and resolve their issues. While I like her idea, human nature makes this difficult, if not impossible to achieve because conflict is inevitable. As shown throughout history, huge wars like World War II happened to bring the world balance back to normal through eventual surrender and peace treaties. I kind of wish it wasn’t this way so people wouldn’t lose their lives. However, the way she perceives the world does show a lot about her personality as a calm and pure-hearted girl.
It was simply nice to see Rhiannon in the spotlight and she was adorable. Thankfully, Arawn and the crew found her unharmed without any need for a battle. Besides this, the blond guy with the harp from Episode 5 makes an appearance again. I felt a bit suspicious of him since he was talking to Gaius. Fortunately he didn’t reveal anything important about that night. From the look of the next episode, things will get interesting as he leads a tribe of his own and seemingly has a duel with Arthur for some important reason.
Arawn ALWAYS saves the day. I wonder how useless Arthur can be…:| (in the game has pretty much the same level of child mentality)
This is because Arthur is an Idiot Hero. If you see him charging into Lydia’s forces, it does show a lot about his personality.
Providing that Tears to Tiara shares some of the elements from Utawarerumono, not so suprising… But I will be covering this in the future.
