As you recall, I have shared my thoughts on scoring in the past. Sure, everyone has their own way of scoring things when it come to writing reviews. However, as time goes on and our opinion changes through experiences, you might look back at the list and wonder to yourself, why you gave a show a certain score. Moreover, scores usually do not tell whole story since it is just an arbitrary number. This makes me wonder why bother with them?

From the first half of this mystery, it seems that Fujioka thinks that he will die early from a curse. Given how suspicious the claims he gave are, will Sakurako be able to expose his attempted cover up?

…
Apparently, some stranger seems to believe that a curse of some sort will make him die prematurely like his uncle and other men in his family. This makes me wonder, does this curse exist or maybe he is hiding something.

Now, it’s Akari’s second chance to raise her rank by winning a Quartet test. Sadly, she has to face off an opponent that humiliated her in the initial test.

Back in 2010, Maeda Jun decided to create an original production by partnering up with PA Works titled Angel Beats. This show focused on a group of students in an after life fighting against god. While it was an interesting premise, it never reached full expectations because there were so many flaws that held the show back. Some viewers were disappointed that they declare it one of the worst shows PA Works made, until Glasslip (which is the worst show from PA Works thus far) came along.
Five years later, he decided to do another project again with PA Works and Aniplex called Charlotte. While I will not share my thoughts on whether or not Jun learned his lesson since I covered it in a separate opinion piece, I will share my overall thoughts about the show.

Remember the Stop Online Piracy Act and Protect IP Act from 2011? These acts aimed to stop piracy, but at the same time introduced unintended consequences since the legislation was so broad that companies and government can use it to request internet service providers to censor sites. If thy were to pass, companies can use it to censor your content and limit free speech. Thankfully, people protested and these two legislations died. ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) faced the same fate since it was SOPA-like.
Now, we have a new bogeyman that will threaten free speech, reign in censorship and limit free speech. This will not only destroy anime blogging, but the anime fandom as we know it. That is the TPP, which is commonly referred to as the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a secret trade deal that involves the United States and other Asian countries in the pacific, including Australia, Canada, Japan and others.
This recently leaked treaty has a lot of nasty copyright restrictions that will undermine fair use and make copyright violations a criminal offense. This mean that you might get a hefty fine or even get thrown into jail. With that, I’m going to share some background information about the treaty and then go into certain provisions that will possibly impact the anime fandom as a whole.

I have to admit, Rize looks cute in any outfit she wears.

The time has finally come as the girls have their dream become come true at the Cinderella Ball.

At last, Akari passed her first test to become Aria’s Amica. Sadly, there is one girl who is not happy with Akari being obsessed with Aria 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

While the first episode’s mystery felt like a warmup, this is finally the real deal as Shoutaro finds a little girl all alone walking to a convince store.

While I watched Hidan no Aria ages ago, it felt like another Kugimiya Rie Tsundere shows, especially since it was made by JC Staff. Instead of getting a second season, we now have a spinoff involving a girl named Mamiya Akari who looks up to Aria despite being dead last in the Butei rankings. I know it took awhile, but it’s here now.
As you would expect, Akari is definitely one of those girls that has a cheerful personality. Aside from kicking her younger sister in her dream, she apparently idolizes Aria, who is top of the class to the point where she can stop criminals in their tracks without fail. This time, Aria managed to stop a bank robber gang who is trying to escape by boat without any help.

Yes, it’s finally back and as always, the girls are adorable.

A few years back, I have shared my thoughts about collecting anime Merchandise. While I stopped buying anime DVDs several years back since I wanted to focus more on importing Japanese games and anime CDs from Japan, I decided to buy Idolmaster Cinderella Girls in Blu-Ray, which makes me wonder about Japanese anime releases and how they differ from licensed releases.
While I covered it somewhat in previous editorials, I never gone into much detail considering that I did not own a single Japanese release. Now I do, so it is time to talk about some differences and why they are expensive.

It has been a while since I have watched an anime that focuses on mystery. With that, it’s time to focus on another one, which involves an ordinary high school student boy and a young adult woman who seems to be obsessed with bones.

I have to admit that Illya from Prisma Illya is more enjoyable than the one in Fate/stay night. While I enjoyed the first season despite having a few flaws, I like how they made this spinoff into a magical girl show with the usual clichés as Illya and a mysterious girl named Miyu uses magical sticks to transform into magical girls to collect Class Cards.
The 2nd season eventually introduced Chloe, which is basically a darker skin version of Illya from Fate/stay night. While most of the second season was focused on her, there were many enjoyable moments, especially the fight at the end with Bazett. With that, will the second part of 2wei, 2wei Herz live up to the prequel? Somewhat.
