With Mutsumi acting funny and Ave Mujica on the verge of falling apart, Sakiko notices something unusual about her after that performance.
In the last episode, Mutsumi is at her breaking point after Sakiko gets upset at her for not being on her side. After Mutsumi laid down her guitar, given her cheerful personality compared to her rather introverted one. Sakiko notices how cheerful Musumi is now; somehow, Ave Mujica is all right. However, it’s becoming more of a comedy skit and more laid back than Sakiko had envisioned. At least they are not fighting, and the rumors that they are going to disband are now gone, for now.
It does seem reasonable, but the conflict in Ave Mujica is not over; they simply delayed the disbandment. Ui mentioned that Sakiko might be overworking herself by taking on too many responsibilities. Then, Mutsumi tells her that Ui should ask her not to push herself too hard, and things eventually spiral out of control. From this, Ui, Mutsumi now reminds her of her mother. With that, Mutsumi wants to keep what she said a secret for how long.
As expected, Sakiko can’t stop thinking about what Mutsumi did on stage. That is while she continued to walk on her next song for the band. Of course, Ui tells her not to overwork as she catches Sakiko pulling an all-nighter. She eventually decides to sleep. Still, during a photoshoot, her bandmates notice the lack of a smile. While Sakiko smiles for the photo, she continues to become dissatisfied, Nyamu too. She thinks about quitting but receives a phone call from her mother and siblings, who are rooting for her. She seems conflicted.
During the rehearsal, we saw signs that Mutsumi was not the Mutsumi she was. She said that she can’t play the guitar because she can’t play guitar at all or the music. In other words, she is there so the band can perform. Mutsumi throws a monkey wrench into Sakiko’s plans as she needs her to perform, or the music won’t sound right. Sakiko takes her outside to talk about basics and becomes upset at her.
Mutsumi reveals that Mutsumi Sakiko no longer exists or is asleep, and she is Mortis. After telling that she talked to Mutsumi when she played with guitars and told what happened leading up to now, Sakiko becomes shocked. It’s all triggered by Sakiko getting upset at her for not being by her side, and Mortis hates Sakiko but is just here to protect her favorite band. Mortis says if Sakiko doesn’t change, Mutsumi will never return as it starts raining.
Eventually, Ui saw Sakiko wet and wondered what was wrong. Everyone comes in, and Sakiko believes Mutsumi has a split personality. Eventually, Ui leaked what she had talked about with Mitsumi in the car to everyone. After all, the live performance is at risk, as Mutsumi cannot play guitar with Nyamu, who threatens to quit if Sakiko doesn’t kick Mutsumi out of the band as she has no play house with a rich girl. Mutsumi wonders what is happening as she says Ui is lying. Thus, the band doesn’t have to disband as she gets upset over the band possibly disbanding.
Despite Mutsumi’s efforts, the underlying troubles have not been resolved. Nyamyu wants to push Mutsumi out since she is disappointed in her. Yep, she is no longer living up to expectations as Musumi gets desperate. After all, Ui said that if one member quits, Ave Mujica is over. From the live performance, the band will obviously disband as quickly as it rose. Still, it’s pretty funny seeing Mortis with a different range of personalities, but not her own. Still, it should be interesting to know if Ave Mujica is over or if it can eventually face a revival.
