While Flum got kicked out and sold into slavery and managed to kill the slave master with a cursed weapon, she and Milkit escaped the dungeons, and they are now free, with Flum finally receiving her quest to gain an adventurer’s license. However, as they find out, it’s not an ordinary F-ranked quest.
From the looks of it, Flum thought that by escaping, she could erase the “slave” mark from her face. Sadly, it’s not the case since the slave master used special paint to make it harder for her to take it off without a special method. For now, she has no choice but to remove it after Milkit told her. At least it’s not as bad compared to her situation, more on that later.

As the quest entails, it involves taking down werewolves. While it only has a power of 512, which would be a walk in the park, except that there are multiples of them. It basically merged to become an eldritch abomination of a werewolf. Defeating it in this form makes it harder for Flum to take it down, as its total power is close to 1800.
Basically, Flum had Milkit go to a safe place as Flum had a tough fight. She got cut on her arm as it was wrapped. While it may seem gross, she already knows it will grow back to normal after cutting it off. However, she knows how dumb the abomination is as she manages to slice it in half.

With that, she thought she defeated it as she proceeded to take the fang. That is, until it went back together into a more messed-up living thing. Not only that, a dismembered werewolf head was biting her arm without knowing it. She had to retreat and cut the arm again before getting to her body.

After her arm came back, she decided to face the mangled wolf; she had no choice but to fight as if she had run away. What will happen to Milkit? However, without her being around, Milkit holds Flum’s hand, giving the push she needs to finish the eldritch abomination of a werewolf by breaking the bridge in half so it would fall to the bottom before finishing it off by slicing it in half. That was enough to defeat it.

Meanwhile, Milkit, all alone, starts to doubt herself as she remembers the disparaging things her former masters said about her being useless and only existing to be sold, and hating her appearance. Only a sense of Flum being here makes her happy. That is when she arrived with a sack containing the requested item, looking exhausted from a hard fight. At least she got some gauntlets that decrease attack by 82 and magic power by 101. In other words, by equipping those, her stats will go up to close to 1200. That is not too bad after all.

Of course, Milkit doubts herself, as Flum should sell her to a different master, since she believes she is useless. After taking those bandages off, it shows a mostly swollen face caused by mustardo toxin, and she thinks if Flum touches it, she will look like that. However, Flum knows it can be fixed somehow by a mage. Either way, she is not going to change her mind; she has faith in her, as she is the only survivor in the same cell. With that, she wants to help her get out of the dark so they can build a happy life together.

In short, the sabotage didn’t quite go as well as the adventurers who bet they wouldn’t be able to fulfill the quest lost. Still, it’s nice to see Flum show who’s boss to the guy who doubts her as she leaves with Milkit with her newly minted license and some money. At least they have someone to take them home, as they plan to buy new clothes next time. Of course, Milkit self-deprecates, thinking there are no cute clothes that suit her. But since Flum said so, she has to go along with it.

That said, I find it funny how the party Flum got kicked out of is falling apart. None of the members likes the cooking now that Flum is gone. The sage who sold her off seems frustrated when she hears her name. I guess it’s one of those moments that he f’ed around and found out. I think it’s only a matter of time before their party eventually finds out what he did, and Flum is several times stronger than when the sage kicked her out. Also, what is interesting is that the eldritch abomination of a werewolf is still alive, but in a pretty rough state. I guess it will eventually reappear.
