Now the results are in, and how did Otoha’s band fare? Well, it’s not what you expect.

From last time, Aki from Bitter Ganache looks pretty confident that she will make Shiraya her lowly guitarist. While Otoha’s band had a very rough start, it took them until the last song to blow everyone away with their music reaching Nirvana. Sadly, given that Otoha’s band only does instrumentals, it doesn’t leave a positive impression on the audience compared to rock music with vocals.

In short, Bitter Ganache surpasses Otoha’s band, as Aki seems giddy that not only is Shiraya their band member for good, but she can treat her like an equal. That is, until Otoha and Lilisa get into a shouting match, saying how much they think their playing sucks.

Of course, they didn’t leave Shiraya out of it, although oddly enough, Tina is spared from the whole thing as she witnesses it. It was the first time Otoha verbally abused her, and she didn’t know what to think of it. This yelling match eventually leads the Bitter Ganache bandmates to think that Shiraya is better off playing bass, as it’s the thing she wants to do anyway.

It’s not too surprising, given that she feels down having to give up the bass. It’s pretty obvious, given the flashbacks. Of course, there is that moment when Shiraya wants to get verbally abused by Otoha as a reason for staying, as she seems to enjoy this feeling. At least she recognizes Lilisa’s guitar playing and the reason why Otoha picked Lilisa, as she is an equal partner for her, with whom she can truly go all out.

As expected, Alice catches Lilisa sneaking back wearing tacky clothing. Lilisa hides the whole Battle of the Bands thing, as it’s evident that Alice wanted to see it. Thankfully, Lilisa dodges it as she goes to school. Although she had trouble staying awake, she still managed to stay awake by biting her lounge. She spoke with Otoha before club activities, as Otoha had noticed that Lilisa was sleepy. That said, Otoha said she had a great time at the event despite losing. Of course, they pretend to play instruments as they have the urge to play again.

Lilisa, of course, attended her tea ceremony activities, and apparently, the Kuroyuri students were joining her. Believe it or not, Lilisa sees Shiraya as one of the guests. As expected, she was wearing a long wig and looked ladylike. Of course, she warned Lilisa not to reveal anything, or she got it. At least they talked for a bit, as Shiraya didn’t expect to see Lilisa Shiraya ask about Otoha saying anything about Shiraya.

Lilisa can’t answer as she decides to meet Otoha. That is when Lilisa goes to the band room as she doesn’t know what to think about Shiraya. When Lilisa arrived at the music room, they were already practicing. It’s like they knew Lilisa would come, as they all have the urge to play more rock music. That is when Lilisa decides to join in. The funny thing is that Alice is there spying on Lilisa, as she can’t be honest with her, wondering why they multiplied. Yes, it looks like Alice might be developing an interest in listening to rock music.
@chikorita157@chikorita157.com On the one hand, I felt that the stakes of potentially losing Shiro to Bitter Ganache were resolved way too conveniently. On the other, her presence has been entirely antagonistic up until this point, so it doesn’t feel like the band would have been that invested in keeping her as a member.
