With only 6 teams remaining, the special rule gets invoked with one member of the team “betraying” their team members to form a new team. Of course, LLENN is unhappy about this, as she has to face off against Pitohui again.
From last time, we know how LLENN reacts as her team gets split up again or that she won’t be able to face off against SHINC again. After all, it appears that all the leaders or MVPs of the team, except for Pitohui, were picked. It makes me a bit suspicious if Pitohui got picked or if she tricked LLENN into thinking that she was not the chosen one. It makes me wonder why Pitohui says that she is a traitor.
While we see the other teams react to the announcements, it was interesting to see Saki talk to her teammates about being chosen to go to the betrayers’ team. While they are in disbelief that Saki will leave the team, she says it’s a game, and thus, they have to play by the rules. After all, if they cheat, SHINC’s reputation will be ruined. In other words, she tells her team to have fun facing off against herself on the new team. Of course, this means that taking on LLENN might not happen, especially if LLENN got chosen, even if Pitohui may have taken her position.
Believe it or not, a flying vehicle comes to pick up the traitors from each team. It’s funny how only one T-S member gets off the island. While all the members try to get onto the flying vehicle, it’s only designed for one. That said, it takes them to an abandoned cruise ship. Of course, Cole, who is chosen, plans to use his position to betray the Betrayers team so TOMS can win. I am not sure this will work, given the island is sinking and the only place left will be that ship.
As the members finally arrive at the ship, we know that Pitohui will be the leader as she has the members introduce themselves. Of course, given the ship’s size, they decide to take down all the lifeboats to block all the entrances. Yep, that was after LLENN found out that there were holes on the ship that allowed them to enter. With those getting blocked, LLENN becomes shocked after she gets over the initial shock of Pitohui “betraying” them. The teams will find a way to board the ship, as BTRY is outnumbered after all.
