Now that Kanata has made up with Megumi after she got upset with her, they have found a path forward in finishing the rest of the clients. Also, we find out who wrote that comment on that video.
After Megumi, against all odds, managed to cheer for Kanata, the team finally got back together. Of course, Shion knew that Megumi was strong, as she and Shizuha talked about wanting to be as strong as her.
In the end, Anna decided it best to focus on cheering and abandon the videos. Apparently, they have too much on their plate, and Kanata going off to do her cheers is not doing them any favors. Now that Kanata wants to cheer for PoMPoMs again, maybe it’s best to focus on the cheering only.
Sure, there is disappointment that the cheer videos are ending, but at least for now, they can focus on the cheers as they cheer for various teams. They went to a beach to cheer on a beach volleyball team. Sadly, there are no swimsuits for a short beach episode scene, and the players seem disappointed that they aren’t making videos. At least that team won at least. On the way back, after Shizuha looked at the photos with the teams they cheered for, she tried to make a smile. This instance is probably one of the few times she smiled.
Aside from that, Kanata and her friends received a gift of ice cream for all the cheers they did. It’s funny how the top part of Kanata’s ice cream cone split from the cone part. Yep, she seems disappointed. At least it’s the best way to end off the summer break as before long. They finish the summer break of cheering. From this, Nodoka revealed that she wants to do more with cheerleading, thus participating more on the committee than just PoMPoMs. Also, it’s nice to see Shizuha finally say good morning to Shion at school. Her students seem surprised that Shizuha did so.
As for Kanata, she has a checkup, and she is finally making progress on her recovery. After landing in the hospital, Kanata realizes that she can’t fly yet and doesn’t need to rush into it right away. Still, it’s not surprising that she had emotional growth given what happened and thanks to the support of her friends, especially Megumi.
In short, she decides to resume her activities with the cheer team. That is after she begs Miyabi to teach her how to dance. It’s funny how Kanata tries to offer various foods she doesn’t even want, thus almost draining her allowance. Kanata, of course, is persistent, which is kind of funny.
Eventually, Izawa lets her back on the team. Miyabi eventually teaches the dance training. At the end of the training, Kanata asks about Mari, and Izawa reveals that she quit. Thankfully, Miyabi told Kanata where Mari might be. After Kanata confronts her, we find out that she was the one who made that comment on one of PoMPoM’s cheer videos. As a result, she felt that she couldn’t cheer anymore as she made that comment. Still, I wonder why Mari made that comment in the first place. Is it out of resentment or frustration? We’ll find out soon enough.
