Now that the Sports Festival is over, Torako can finally enjoy the pink flowers. That is until she finds Nokotan crying for some reason. It becomes obvious.
Yes, believe it or not, Torako finds out that Nokotan has allergies, even if she denies it. I find it funny how the big pollen causes her nose to run and her eyes to tear up. Also, she gets covered with pollen at some point, and Torako has to wash her. Even then, her antlers become itchy and runny at some point. The narrator points out what to look for if people have allergies but hide them. Even Neko has allergies, and her plot to get the deer club shut down fails because of her allergies.
The funny thing is that I relate to this since I have pretty bad allergies, especially during spring. My nose is runny, my eyes watering, and the like. That is, despite enjoying the pink sakura flowers, spring is not necessarily the best season, even with allergy medicine. While I had allergy shots to reduce the symptoms, I still have a runny nose and sneeze a lot during spring, which doesn’t eliminate the problem.
The funny thing is that Nokotan thinks burning all the cedar trees is the solution. Just imagine that if she does it, it will solve the pollen problem but would contribute to climate change. It’s funny how Torako takes her to the vet along with Neko to deal with the allergies. The funny thing is that Torako sneezes when a pollen lands on her nose and gets called for an examination. It’s pretty amusing.
The second segment is strange as Nokotan becomes a flower arranger. She arranges antlers on her head and uses rice crackers and soil. It’s funny how the teacher and the club members were amazed. Nokotan even summons some carnivore plants and plays strange music to make it move. It’s funny how the teacher gets eaten by one of the plants but somehow makes it out alive after it ends. Nokotan is there for one day to have fun, but the novelty wears off.
In the last part, Meme does her rice planting. Anko doesn’t want to do it. Somehow, Tsucchi is willing to do so and is very efficient at planting those rice plants. Eventually, Anko prepared some rice balls, giving Meme the idea of planting plums. The funny thing we learn is that Anko cooks since Torako is terrible at it.
