While the collaborations didn’t go so well for MayoPunch, they delivered an excellent performance. With that, it’s finally winter, and Misaki is on vacation as her mother is in the hospital. With that, Live, Fuu, Tokage, and Ichiko are left to record a video log video while she is away. Well, it doesn’t go so well.
With Misaki sleeping at a Japanese-style house, it’s evident that she is on vacation of some sort. Believe it or not, there has been a time skip since that collab event, and apparently, they got 400,000 subscribers, up from 100k. It looks like they are making progress, but they will still fall short as they only have two months remaining.
As expected, Ichiko is trying to make a video and figure out an angle to record that bento. Of course, Tokage wants to take a break while Fuu reminds them they only have two months. Of course, Ichiko intends to create more footage while Fu and Tokage are standing on Live. Yep, Live seems depraved since she doesn’t have Misaki around. I find it funny how Live moves as a spider after discovering that Misaki calls her while being excited. Live asks about Misaki’s mother. Of course, when she asked Misaki to do something romantic, she hung up. Now that is funny.
Meanwhile, we see Misaki’s little sister, Sakura, who wants to do things alone. Yep, she knows about her older sister’s scandal. Still, the reason Misaki is over at her parent’s house is that her mother has her appendix taken out and is recovering at the hospital. Misaki showed what Mayonaka Punch’s Vlogs are like, and they aren’t doing much of anything. Live is in bed looking at her smartphone, Tokage is playing pachinko, Fuu is listening to music, and Ichiko is sleeping on the sofa. Kind of boring if you ask me.
Eventually, Live, Fuu, Tokage and Ichigo decide to take a drive out. They will drive through to find the best spot to take a video. They did but discovered they couldn’t use the footage because the sign prohibited it. It’s not too surprising, given the current state of affairs. In other words, they ditched the car and came over to where Misaki was staying. Yep, Live seems excited to see Misaki’s younger sister, Sakura, as she looks surprised when Live introduces herself.
In short, they made videos showing that they returned to their family home and had Sakura as their little sister. Well, the videos themselves were Live, introducing Sakura. After that, she gives a “tour” and enters Misaki’s bedroom, looking into her stuff. We know this would happen, and Misaki isn’t having it as she slaps her. They had a meal at a soba restaurant, and well, let’s say that Live drank too much, so Misaki had to tie up Live.
Of course, Tokage is not any better as she gets blamed by Sakura for Tokage tagging her, going home, and then having a snowball fight with her, which leads to Sakura getting knocked out. As for Ichiko, she is more like Sakura’s little sister and is treated as such. Of course, Ichigo cooked a nice meal, but she rambled about having meals with her former family 100 years ago.
Lastly, there is Fu, who tries to do it properly when the doorbell rings. It’s funny how the grandmother seems suspicious of Fu as she doesn’t recognize her. The grandmother recalls Fuy stealing Sakura’s New Year’s money to buy toys for herself. The only thing that causes the grandmother to drop her suspicions about Fu is admitting that there is nothing wrong with her life and telling her to bow down as a peasant.
Did Misaki really take Sakura’s New Year’s money for herself back then? The old lady seems okay in the video as Misaki allows Live another chance to say thanks for the part of the video while admitting that she has a lousy personality. She regretted everything she did and asked for support.
Sakura, of course, shared her grievances about Misaki eating Sakura’s ice cream, ditching her during hide and seek, complaining about Sakura’s cooking, taking her New Year’s money, and leaving the house right after graduating and making their mother worry. Even after Sakura finds out that her older sister got fired from Hype Sisters, Misaki never calls them, and it’s too late to ask for support. After all, Sakura supported her older sister from the beginning. That is quite the twist of Sakura revealing Misaki as selfish, but in a way, she changed as well.
Yep, it’s not too surprising to see this since families support each other. After all, Sakura eventually asks for Mayonaka Punch’s autograph and shares what quality she likes from each member. Of course, she asks for an autograph from her older sister, and although initially reluctant, she gives it to her. This really shows how much faith Sakura has in her older sister, although she is flawed.
Not to mention, Misaki finally complimented Sakura on her cooking. Of course, she said the video wasn’t stagged at all. After all, Misaki doesn’t want to be in the videos and rather be behind the scenes. Even so, I doubt people will forget that scandal, which could hurt Mayonaka Punch when they need the most subscribers. Is it really over for Misaki, even if she has changed from her old ways? I guess only time can tell.
Sakura’s precious and Live was fantastic this episode.
Good to see Masaki is working on being nicer to her family after how bratty and irresponsible she was before.
Hopefully Masaki’s feelings for Live will be further explored in the coming episodes.
Yes, Sakura is precious and Live is great as always.
I never thought that Misaki was that bratty, but it’s not too surprising given how she behaved up to now, although she probably has changed since that punching incident.
