After Kanata and her friends spent time at a hot springs and cheering for various people, they started taking requests. However, they weren’t fortunate until they received one request by chance.
Last time, the girls got the idea to cheer for people the previous time and cheered on for various people. That is after they uploaded their first video. Sadly, they hadn’t had much luck getting cheer requests until one particular one came in. The funny thing is that Nodoka is getting a lot of requests from the school.
However, by chance, they managed to get one. It’s from the Omaebashi High School Cheer Committee from Banka Rara. They want PoMPoMs to help cheer for a baseball team. It’s funny how the Omaebashi Cheer Team tied Kanata up for being assumed to be a spy. It’s the funniest thing, but it’s not surprising since she was part of the Takataka cheer team. For obvious reasons, they see Kanata as an enemy, which is unsurprising.
Rara knows Izawa, who is the captain of the Takanosaki Hawk Wings Cheer Club. Their cheer team is coming to cheer on Takataka’s baseball team. Rara and Izawa have an intense rivalry as they are childhood friends, and their mothers are cheerleaders on the same team. I guess it’s not surprising that Rara’s team decided to tie up Kanata and accuse her of being a spy.
However, we find out their paths have split when they went on their separate paths. Izawa took the path of sports cheer, while Rara took the path of the cheer squad. Not surprisingly, Rara isn’t having much luck given that her cheer team hasn’t had much success, which shows with the baseball team’s losses. With Kanata being on PoMPoMs, she hopes to turn things around.
The funny thing is that Nodoka is the least enthusiastic about it, as she is part of the cheer committee. Yep, Rara’s cheer team members called Nodoka “oka.” Nodoka eventually reveals that she got forced into the role. She doesn’t attend anymore as she can’t keep up with the losses and the cheer team’s failures. I can see the pressure eventually getting to her.
As for the actual game itself, it’s hard to beat the size and performance of Hawk Wings. When Takataka’s baseball team was a bit behind after Omaebashi overtook them, it’s funny how Izawa took off her school uniform, revealing a cheer uniform as she seemed very serious about winning.
Eventually, Rara’s team almost lost hope, but Rara won’t give up a fight as they cheer on their team to the bitter end. They nearly got there, but sadly, the single inexperienced player couldn’t bring home a tie. Nodoka cried her eyes until Rara came up to her and asked if cheer was great.
At least Rara and Izawa give a handshake for a fair fight, but of course, it’s a pretty close one. It’s funny how Rara cheers for Nodoka, but she gets embarrassed and asks what is wrong with her. I guess she wants to, well, cheer her up. Either way, summer is not over yet, as they seem to have more things to do besides homework, of course.

Na-Nare Hana-Nare Episode 7: Bring It On! Chairs Edition – The Yuri Empire
Nodoka underestimated the power of chair. All she needed was to be part of an epic charileader battle to realize it is a very powerful support system.
I shop the two captains.
Being a Noi fan this episode pleased me very much.
Yep, and besides the excitement from the battle of the cheer, and the energy, I guess Nodoka has Rara to thank for regaining her confidence in cheer.
Noi and Rara’s rivalry is a sight to see of course, interesting how Noi wore the cheerleading outfit underneath her school uniform.
