After Fuu managed to get over what allowed her to sing again, now after making several videos, Live wants a change of pace and does a video themselves as a group without Misakichi on an abandoned island. Yep, it’s obvious where this is going. It’s a beach episode!
Misakichi seems unhappy that while the girls’ solo videos are doing well, they still haven’t done a video together. With that, Live came up with the idea of surviving on an abandoned island. Some look forward since a survival challenge means one thing. Live drags Ichiko, Togake, and Fuu to an isolated island after Misakichi won’t give her blood if they don’t make a proper video.
Yep, it’s clear that Live is excited about the island challenge, but Togake, Fuu, and Ichiko are not. At least Live got the idea to break out the swimsuits since it’s a tropical island survival challenge video. She explains that they have to build a tent on flat land, get clean water, make a fire, get clean water, and hunt for fish. Of course, Live worked hard as she seemed motivated to get Misakichi’s blood.
It’s funny how Live got the girls motivated. However, when Live does the challenge correctly, and struggles, Ichiko and Tokage decide to take the easy way out. Yep, they were building a cabin, making a fire at an enormous rate, and catching a marlin, which seemed impossible. They can’t use that footage since they use vampire powers. After all, it uses vampire powers, but Yuki won’t allow it. Live forced them to build that tent and set up the fire properly. The funny thing is that Fuu and Live do it the hard way.
Live eventually got upset at Ichiko and Tokage for not doing the video properly, and they barely got any footage. They got into an argument after Tokage and Ichiko managed to bring back a marlin in a crazy way. It seems impossible. Tokage panics when they find out they have no blood supply as they forgot it at home. As expected, Tokage panicked and eventually thought they would be a goner.
The situation, of course, got worse as the days wore on. First, a typhoon came in, and Tokage decided to go home. Sadly, every attempt she made was a failure. Of course, Fuu and Ichiko eventually went into their energy conservation mode. When Live and Tokage try to chase after a cruise ship, they realize they can’t get into the sun as they catch fire. In the end, Live is the only one not in energy conservation mode as she records her final part on the last day before she passes out.
Meanwhile, Misakichi gets new equipment and sets it up after editing all the videos. She notices the girls are taking a while to come back. She discovered the blood supply in the cooler they forgot to take. She had to call Yuki to save them, which Live conveys as biting into Misakichi, but she is drinking from a blood bag.
In the end, Live seems upset they aren’t able to make any usable video. The thing is, Misaki assured her that there is usable footage from Live and Fuu’s attempts, although she can’t use any of the footage Tokage and Ichiko made since it reveals too many vampire powers. Of course, Misaki knows things don’t go as planned for a video, but it shows how much effort she puts into making the video. While Live can’t have Misaki’s blood, she wants to help Misakichi edit the video. This interaction can signify that Live is getting closer to Misakichi, although it will be a while before she can have Misakichi’s blood. Otherwise, it’s a nice beach episode with a lot of funny moments. With that, Ichiko seems to get her episode next time.

Mayonaka Punch Episode 5: Tropical Moonlight Bliss – The Yuri Empire
A welcome palette cleanser after the wonderfully painful episode last time. Live and Tokage delivered in the sexiness while Fu and Ichiko were petite cuties.
Masaki’s not super likable, by design, but at least she isn’t heartless. Hopefully over time her and Live’s relationship grows stronger, especially to avoid what happened to Fu.
Yep, a beach episode is a nice way to change the mood after a rather sad, but heartwarming episode with Fuu. It just that their island survival challenge didn’t quite go as expected, but seeing Mayopan in swimsuits having fun with their antics is probably the most enjoyable parts, and Misaki coming to the rescue.
