Now that Shiho has revealed some secrets to Himari, we know what Himari will do.
From last time, we know why Shiho feels the way she does and eventually quits Aki’s band. Besides her childhood years of being bested by Kyou, she wants to take Laureley to pro. Of course, Shiho has to go back to work and tells Himari to keep what she shares a secret. While she promises to do so, she can’t help herself.
When Momoka and Himari suggest a taste-testing party to Momoka, we know what will happen. She invited the two members of Laureley and SSGirls to try to have Aki and Shiho make up with each other. Shiho saw through the plan and wanted to leave. Aki is not happy that Shiho was there. Shiho tries to run away, but of course, Himari wants her to taste some sweets she and Momoka made.
That is until she tripped, and Yori saved her when she was about to fall. Yep, it’s another sweet moment with Himari’s face close to Yori. It’s funny how Kaori congratulates Himari while Maa wants Yori and Himari to keep the flirting to a minimum. But of course, Shiho discovers that Himari is in a relationship with Yori.
In other words, she is furious now that her chance of beating Aki’s band has decreased. We know that Himari favors the band Yori, so she made another change. She wants Himari as her manager if Aki is going ahead with the duel. Of course, Aki protested as Shiho intended to call off the duel.
Knowing things would get messier, Himari becomes their manager until the festival ends. It’s not too surprising to see this, considering Himari’s innocent personality and desire to make everyone happy. Of course, Shiho knows that Himari will probably root against her band, so she makes an offer. If Laureley wins, Himari can make one request.
Still, I wonder what will happen if Laureley loses. I know Himari won’t get anything, but Aki will see the truth about what happened to Shiho. Either way, Aki will probably get what she wants in the end.
Meanwhile, Aki seems bothered by Himari getting involved. As a result, the pressure on Aki to win this is on. After all, she wants to know why Shiho quit.
Of course, with summer break week coming up before the eventual cultural festival, it’s evident that Himari is not with Yori that much. Yori assures her that Himari can always ask her to meet up. We know how this will go, as she wants to see her daily. Yori seems okay with that. At least we still know where Himari’s loyalty lies.
Aside from that, we get a glimpse of Maa’s house as she seems rich. They came there to figure out the best strategy to beat Layureley. A new song would be the best way for Yori to remember the moments after the live house with Himari. Of course, we learn how Laureley became a thing. Still, Hajime and Momoka have known each other for a long time. They mention that Shiho broke down the wall between them, which led them to become reserved for a long time. It makes me wonder what kind of relationship Momoka has with Hajime. I guess we’ll find out eventually. We’ll find out next time what led Momoka, Hajime, and Shiho to form a band despite being in different clubs.
After that, it will be a while until the final two episodes air. Hopefully, we’ll find out what went wrong with the production soon.

Whisper Me a Love Song Episode 9: Upping the Ante – The Yuri Empire
YoriHima continue to be the highlight of the show.
Still feel Aki doesn’t deserve a drama arc and emo tsundere love interest. Speaking of Shiho I’m still waiting to see why fans consider her a GLOAT (Greatest lesbian of all time).
I hope we get to learn a little more about the side-pairs, specifically HajiMomo.
YoriHima is basically the pairing that has the least issues, and of course a lot of cute moments of course.
I do hope the conflict between Aki and Shiho eventually resolve itself, after we see more development as to why they have a big falling out, but it’s somewhat obvious given Shiho’s distaste towards Yori, but I wonder how it will resolve itself.
