Chiaki wonders how Aoi showed up in the same hot springs as she didn’t plan to be at the campsite until tomorrow. Aoi apparently has a way.
Chiaki seems surprised that Aoi showed up at the hot springs as she thought Aoi would come tomorrow. Apparently, there is more to that, as Aoi’s aunt offered Aoi a better bike since she knew that Aoi was camping. She says it’s super fast and will bring it on April 1st. Funny how she said that their father is a hardcore road cyclist.
Of course, we know this is a lie when Aoi asks her father, but he has never heard of it. Yep, like Aoi, Aoi’s aunt is a prankster. Also, she seems amazed by how much Akari grew, but it’s only been a few months. Either way, it was a road bike, and she bought all the equipment, including a helmet and lights.
Aoi got a pretty good deal as she discovered how fast it can go and how strong the brakes are. She does not go to the convenience store but to Minobu Station. That is how she ended up at the hot springs that Aki is at; since she is there already, she may as well meet up with her and show off the bike.
It’s too bad her front bike tire got a flat tire. Maybe it’s because it wasn’t used for a long time, or she hit something. At last, she gets to spend time at Chiaki’s campsite while she waits for her father to pick her up. Aoi, of course, drank that drink Aki put too much spice in. Also, it’s funny how Aoi points out that people sell those bracelets online for 1000 yen. Aki should consider making and selling them to fund her camping trips.
Meanwhile, Rin, Nadeshiko, and Sakura went to see more Sakura trees in Jinniji. Funny how Nadeshiko and Rin want to say the name. It’s weird to see the reactions on Rin’s face as she sees that silly picture of Nadeshiko that Sakura took as she looks at her Sakura pictures. They also had some lovely-looking pudding. Also, Rin sees Nadeshiko’s obsession with trains at Kasunuma Station. That is when Rin told Nadeshiko about a steam locomotive shown in a park in Nirasaki. Nadeshiko obviously wants to go, but it’s a bit too late.
Lastly, they went to an excellent viewing spot as Nadeshiko asked about the Oigatayaki and where to see it. It’s interesting how they talk about the history behind infighting between shrines that led them to burn stolen toriis and ois, which is the origin of Oigatayaki. I find it amusing that they depict something this serious with two monks fighting with each other like in a fighting game. I admit that it is funny.
Apparently, the Toriyaki is done every October, which still uses fire lit by middle school students, compared to Oigatayaki, which uses electricity. Funny how Nadeshiko wants to do something like that during a camping trip, although knowing her, she will probably get kicked out.
Either way, they see a nice view of the city as Oigatayaki eventually lits up. It gives Rin some memories of seeing it when she was young with her parents. Rin told Nadeshiko and Sakura that they could also see the Daimonjiyaki tonight. Nadeshiko did while Sakura drove. When they saw the photo Nadeshiko took, it didn’t look right. Maybe next year, the girls will have their Hanami camping trip as we head to the finale.
