With Shizuru captured by the zombies, Nadeshiko, Akira, and Reimi must find a way to save her. However, how will they save her without getting bitten by the zombies?
From last time, Shizuru decided to try to go at it alone after getting upset at her friends. Poochi, of course, tagged along until she got caught by the zombies, tied up and brought to Mito. At the beginning of the episode, she is being taken somewhere. However, she got upset over the fear of the zombies seeing their panties. It might become important soon. Of course, Nadeshiko, Akira, and Reimi fear that Shizuru is a zombie.
Thankfully, they got some information from the delivery guys. While they learn that the zombies are weak by snapping off their necks, they eventually return to life. The only thing that defeats them is something, well… It will become important soon.
While trying to go into the forest, Akira tries to figure out measures to deal with the zombies. She proceeds to make a fake brain with foil, but one appears. It’s not a great way to deal with them, as Reimi screams. Throwing the fake brain didn’t quite work well besides standing still. The only way to deal with them is to disguise themselves as zombies using paint on their faces. The funny thing is that they don’t attack them afterward.
After arriving at their destination near a big tree, they find Shizuru and Pocchi. It is funny how, eventually, Shizuru notices Nadeshiko, Akira, and Remi and tries to communicate with them through gestures. Eventually, Mito notices them acting funny as Shizuru freaks out. Funny how Shizuru whistles, acting as if she didn’t see anything.
Of course, Nadeshiko, Akira, and Reimi try to pretend that they are zombies. However, Mito tests them by eating a bowl of udon first, as zombies wouldn’t care about food. They didn’t show a reaction until Mito took out a CRT and a genuine Sega Saturn with light guns. Yep, she plays The House of the Dead but does pretty bad. However, Nadeshiko seems really into it and even beats the game. Mito doubts that Nadeshiko is actually a zombie. That is when they started laughing while Shizuru says Nadeshiko still has her reflexes since she just turned into one.
Sadly, Mito does not have it, as she commands hordes of zombies to capture them. Yes, Shizuru and her friends realize their weakness and try to take them out, but they are caught off guard. They regenerate, but they find out the thing that actually defeats them. Yes, telling perverted stuff as the delivery boy tells them. Akira tells a perverted story, and the zombies explode after they start laughing. Mito becomes shocked that they found the weakness.
Of course, the girls try to run back to the train as the zombies chase after them. They have to say perverted stuff to stop them. However, they manage to get away, but they need to develop a perverted song to defeat the zombies that block the way forward. They ask Zenjiro to come up with something perverted. And it actually works. However, it only takes some of them, as the zombie pile remains.
Eventually, Shizuru decides to talk to her and discovers that Mito is human. We find out she was the only human in the store after the department store after the 7G incident. Of course, she was afraid of the zombies seeing her panties, although they disappeared after seeing them. While she went around the world, she discovered nobody was there and eventually returned. She considers the zombies regenerating, but they decide to obey her, and thus, she becomes their queen.
Ultimately, Mito decides not to block the way as she gives Shizuru her backpack and supplies. Also, she has the zombies not attack humans anymore. Funny how she offers the game, but it seems that Shizuru doesn’t want it. I guess they have enough zombies, but at least what is bothering Shizuru is now resolved, even if she acted like a jerk last time.
The redemption episode after what I felt was a mediocre first part. Finally fixed Shizuru in my eyes.
The Sega Saturn segment alone saved the entire arc. Brilliant!
The zombies’ weakness being erotica once again showed us to expect the unexpected with this show. I feel happy watching this show again.
Yes, seeing Shizuru act the way she did was disappointing, but thankfully she returned to her senses though.
Yep, it’s nice to see a Sega Saturn and a zombie game too, but surprising that the show actually got permission to have it in this episode.
Yep, the zombies are surprisingly cultured, but overall a fun episode.
