Now that Yasumi and Yuhi settled things, Yasumi came over to her house. Of course, there are some lovely moments as they learn a few things about each other.
As promised in the 2nd episode, Yasumi wants to show what she can cook. In the latest episode, they decided to have a sleepover. They basally cooked omurice, and it turned out well. It seems that when Yuhi tasted it, she really liked it, and of course, they made some for Yuhi’s mother. We also find out that Yuhi’s mother is a lawyer.
Of course, there is the bath scene, and it’s definitely a treat. Yasumi doesn’t seem to like sharing a bath with Yuhi at someone else’s house. Yuhi really wanted to do it because voice actresses take a bath with each other together and mention it. Of course, Yasumi finds this weird and even mentions “yuri context.”
Well, it’s obvious why because Yuhi seems interested in Yasumi’s breasts and even touches them. Either way, she looks satisfied. She also mentions how nice Yasumi’s figure is. Yep, I must admit, I wasn’t expecting this, but at least in this case, the yuri is good, and Yasumi mentions the “yuri context,” which adds some meaning to this. Also shows how much closer they have gotten since the last episode.
Of course, Yuhi asks why Yasumi decided to become a voice actress. Well, Yasumi, like Utena, enjoyed this magical girl show and eventually decided to go for the seiyuu side of things, wanting to become Pritia. As for Yuhi, she tried to voice a character in one of her father’s shows. Her father is an anime animator, which it’s easy to see why. Sadly, things didn’t quite work out when her father divorced. Still, Yuhi seems to like that being an idol seiyuu can be fun.
Yasumi finds out that Yuhi’s mother doesn’t understand anime and is not pleased that her daughter works in the same industry. Yasumi eventually talks with Yuhi’s mother, who seems more of the severe type. Yes, she would be like one of those mothers from an Asian family who wants their children to work in a field that makes a lot of money.
Of course, her mother says that working as a Seiyuu isn’t a stable career, and there are no guarantees that it will be legitimate. That is, she does not like how her daughter is objectified like a mock idol. She is really hoping to cry and run back to her. This is in contrast to Yasumi’s mother, who is supportive of her daughter’s seiyuu career.
While Yasumi feels that it’s hard to make it in the Seiyuu industry, given her experience, she has faith in Yuhi. That is when Yasumi finds out that Yuhi is overhearing as she blushes. The funny thing is that Yuhi is fake sleeping. That said, Yuhi admits that she is jealous of Yasumi’s charisma. She thinks that Yasumi has a personality, and people seem to like having her around, which is something Yuhi envies. Still, she sees potential in Yasumi. In one way or another, Yasumi and Yuhi see something they lack that they desire, which makes their relationship interesting.
However, things worsen as Yasumi gets frustrated over being rejected after doing several auditions. After thinking about what Yuhi said, she sees that Yuhi got a leading role, as she learned from her smartphone. Yes, in a robot anime. This lowered Yasumi’s self-esteem, and she believed she would never catch up with Yuhi. That is despite Yuhi saying Yasumi has potential if given a chance. However, the cancellation of the radio show with Yuhi doesn’t make matters any better as Yasumi becomes more upset. She eventually got upset at Yuhi, which really hurt her.
In the end, Yasumi realized she had gone too far. Yuhi doesn’t seem happy that she said nasty things to Yuhi that were uncalled for. I understand how frustrated Yasumi is with working as a Seiyuu for three years and not getting roles. Like myself, who struggled for three years to find a job and deal with rejection after rejection. Eventually, she will get a leading role if she gives herself a chance.
Still, jealousy and the fact the radio program might be canceled made things worse. Mirei points out that Yasumi is not only shocked by this news. Yuhi left her script on the table and didn’t take any notes, which is a sign she is out of it due to the cancellation.
While Yasumi decides to eventually apologize to Yuhi for the horrible things she said, she finds a bombshell article. This is a man with Yuji entering a building as she hugs her. It’s obvious who this man is. Yep, it’s Yuhi’s father, as there was a glimpse of him in a flashback. Apparently, someone stalked Yuhi just to spread negative rumors about Yuhi.
I have a feeling that her father picked his daughter to help her achieve the dream she had. So basically, this only makes Yasumi look worse for the mean things she said about Yuhi brownnosing the director to get that role. Now, it’s up to Yasumi not only to apologize to Yuhi but also to dispel the rumors. I have a feeling who might have caused this. A particular student in their classroom, perhaps?

The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio Episode 3: Sleepover Radio – The Yuri Empire
It’s usually the third episodes where things kick into high gear. Oh yes indeed. The entire sleepover was excellent as was Yumiko defending Chika and Chika’s pretty much confession. Yumiko’s reaction was wonderful.
Their argument had to happen sooner or later. It will make their eventual reconciliation more powerful.
Hopefully they can overcome the “scandal”.
Don’t much care for the guy. Just hope he’s an ally and not a creep.
Agreed, the sleepover and bath was really good and nice to see Yumiko defend Chika in front of her mother, but it’s bound to happen.
The scandal, well I guess Yumiko and Chika are a bit careless for showing the school bags in the photos they shared. But yes, don’t care about that guy.
