Now that Mei, known as Kimura, has joined the team, one member is left. Yes, it’s Yoru’s childhood friend, Kiui, the student council Vtuber. However, there is more to her that Yoru doesn’t know about.
You might wonder why Yoru is dancing at work with Mei joining the team. The funny thing is that Yoru is the only one who volunteers for the role of Ame-no-uzume in a play involving Amaterasu shutting herself in. The other gods dance to entice her to come out. You might be wondering how this relates to Kiui. We’ll find out soon.
Of course, Yoru has known Kiui since she was her childhood friend. She acts like a hero, protecting her female friends from the boys who bully them. It’s obvious she is very energetic and talks up herself, even saying she is a student council president and even a VTuber, one that looks like a superheroine. She seems popular as she gets many viewers while playing video games.
As expected, Yoru finished the design for Jelly, and it looks adorable. Of course, she tasked Kiui to make a music video for JELEE’s new song, which Mei had worked on. While it may look hard, she decides to do it while Yoru has to help draw some stuff for her.
Of course, Kiui has a dark side. She had trouble fitting in when she got into middle school at a pretty posh school. Girls don’t seem interested in Kiui acting like a superhero, acting all energetic. Sadly, everyone shunned her as she stood out too much, which didn’t go well at a private school. This is evident in the uniform stored in the closet. She basically became a NEET, spending all day playing games and VTubing.
She disguises herself when she goes to the convenience store, but she gets upset when Kui comes out to see students from her school. That Is when she let out her anger in a video game before bumping into the wrong man and almost getting into trouble. Yep, a dangerous world causes her to become shut in.
If you notice a theme already, the whole cast is filled with girls who couldn’t fit in one way or another for various reasons. However, I can see why Kiui didn’t want to go to school and told Yoru lies. Maybe her parents picked the wrong school as it was too uptight for her daughter. Obviously, she couldn’t fit in and eventually decided she didn’t want to go. Eventually, Yoru finds out that Kiui is lying after bringing it up. Of course, she becomes more shut in after that.
Somehow, through streaming the play Yoru was in as Kano and Mei went, there was the scene where Yoru did the strange dance to bring Amaterasu out. Amaterasu, of course, is also Kiui. That is when Kiui decided to finish the video, which turned out well in the end and eventually apologized to Yoru for lying to her and saying bad things.
Thankfully, Yoru forgives her as Kano and Mei praise her. At least it’s enough to come out to the public again to meet her, and of course, Yoru sees that she has pink hair. Still, it’s nice to see her get out of her bedroom, which makes me wonder if Kiui wouldn’t go down that path if Kiui went to the same school as Yoru. She will indeed have a friend who will stick up for her. Either way, it’s nice to see the entire team finally together.

The way they used the theatre play to connect Mahiru and Kiui again was brilliant. It's great to see Mahiru coming out of her own shell ever since meeting Kano
Yes, Mahiru using the play to try to get Kiui ti come back is nice. Still, it’s unfortunate to see the things that caused her to become shut in, but it should be getting at least better from here.
Kiui’s backstory was sad. I have a soft spot for misunderstood cool people looked down on by uneducated jerks. Luckily she has a friend like Yoru by her side. Fingers crossed her feelings go beyond bestie. I will keep saying that about all our heroines the more we are fed.
Agreed, it’s sad seeing Kiui who used to be cool and cheerful, but look down when she got into middle school. It might be a cultural thing.

If she went to the same school as Mahiru, maybe it would be a different story, but at least she opened up thanks to Mahiru/Yoru.
