While Yori seems disappointed that she confessed to Himari, Himari only loves Yori as her Oshi, not romantically. She is still determined to make it happen. Of course, comes a date?
Last time, Himari decided that she wanted to see Yori after school and have her sing songs after school. Of course, Yori wants something more than that. She wants Himari to fall for her as she is in love with her, given how she reacts.
While the idea of performing in front of the audience causes her to become nervous and not give her best performance, Himari doesn’t seem to care as she really likes her singing voice and cool appearance. As expected, she only loves Yori’s singing, thus treating her as Himari’s Oshi rather than someone she loves romantically.
However, given her blushing, it’s easy for Yori to think that Himari loves her. Also, Yori mentions that she is writing a love song for Aki’s band. Himari seems amazed, no matter how Yori tries to talk down her abilities. She wants to listen to a song created by Yori. As expected, Yori patted her on the head before becoming flustered, but thankfully, Himari didn’t mind. I admit that this was an adorable moment. Of course, they walked home together as Yori thought about what she had just done.
The next day, Himari seems down as it’s raining, meaning she can’t see Yori at her usual place. Yep, she went to her classroom and ran into Aki, Miki’s older sister. That was before Yori came, and of course, she was already blushing as Himari was behind Aki’s back waiting for her. Yori finally exchanges Himari’s contact information after Aki suggests it. When Himari shows her, Yori notices how close she is.
After school, Himari comes to Yori’s classroom and talks about things. Yep, Yori reveals that she loves cats, given her accessories and smartphone case, as Himari shows off her cat she had from middle school, Marota, which is an American Shorthair. Yori seems to really like the photo with Himari and Marota. When Himari asks about what Yori does on her days off, she does nothing.
However, Himari wants to go to a cat goods popup shop, and she wants to take Yori with her. Is this a date? Of course, she couldn’t stop thinking about this while she lay in bed. Yori receives a text message from Himari stating it’s a date, and she is not sure how to react, but she restrains herself. Not only that, she receives a phone call and thinks it’s Himari, but it’s Aki. Yori tells Aki it’s a date, and Aki seems surprised by how fast it progresses.
On Sunday, Yori waited for Himari outside the station until Himari called her. Apparently, Himari came wearing a cute outfit and seemed amazed by how cute Himari was. Before Yori could say how cute Himari was, Himari came and seemed surprised by how stylish Himari looked.
As for the date, it didn’t disappoint. Yes, Himari and Yori had lunch together, and Himari also had some kind of seafood pasta. Himari offered a taste and wanted to feed her with her fork. Yep, seeing Yori’s reaction as she actually does it was cute, although she was embarrassed. As expected, you got to have an indirect kiss.
Of course, Himari is not good with crowds, but Yori offered to hold hands so Himari wouldn’t get separated. Himari wants to buy cat phone straps and split them since there are two. Of course, seeing Yori’s reaction as she blushes over this idea is just too cute as she offered to buy it.
They also went to a guitar store and saw a guitar that looked like Yori’s. Of course, the one Yori has is just a hand-me-down given by her dad since she was singing, and a guitar might go well with it. Yep, Himari still wants Yori to sing in a band together. Still, she also sees something special about her singing to her on the roof. Yori is actually reconsidering because it might bring Himari closer to her.
At the end of the date, it’s evident that Yori didn’t want this day to end. She wants to spend more time with her, perhaps look at her from the side forever. In other words, Yori wants Himari to be her girlfriend when Himari mentions it without being serious about it. She grabbed Himari’s arm and said she wanted to go out with her. Yep, it’s obvious where there is heading. Yori seems more committed than ever, but Himari is unsure what to think about it. After all, she hasn’t experienced actual love before.
I admit that I like Yori’s cute reactions when she thinks about Himari and her. Of course, Akari, Maa, and Kaori wonder how Himari’s date went. However, it seems that Aki might have memories of falling for Yori as she thinks that falling in love at first sight exists. How did it happen, and will Aki become a rival to Himari. Only time can tell.

Marota is so excellently animated. :meowlove:
Some OCD animator must've spent an inhumane amount of time making sure the poses, jumps, licks and stretches were almost like motion capture.
Got to give the cats in the show the best animation, they are Yori’s favorite after all. 🙂
The void in my heart after the end of Stardust Telepath is being filled by this show. The date was excellent. Bless YoriHima so far. Excited to see how Himari responds to Yori revealing her true feelings.
Also intrigued to see what Aki will do next now that she knows her chances of winning Yori’s heart are close to zero.
Yep, I miss that show, but I am really liking how the relationship with Himari and Yori is developing so far, especially the date, it was so good.
But it looks like Aki might be Himari’s rival, although it’s obvious that Yori’s heart is on Himari of course. Should be interesting to see how this plays out.
