Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote – Episode 2 – Making Up with Croquettes and New Star-Breaking Roles, With a Catch

April 17, 2024 by Chikorita157 3 Comments
As expected, Yasumi’s mother is listening to her daughter’s radio program.

While Yasumi saved Yuhi during their first public event for their radio program, it’s evident that they still hate their guts. However, Yasumi finally scores her first leading role in the cast with her Oshi seiyuu, Sakuranami Otome. However, she finds out that there is a catch.

It’s funny how Yasumi’s mother was listening to her daughter’s radio program. Yep, Yasumi obviously didn’t like the idea of her mother listening to it in front of her. It’s unsurprising, as people generally don’t want to hear their voice. Still, seeing her mother support her daughter’s idol seiyuu career is nice. It’s easy to see why she wants to listen to the radio program her daughter is on.

It’s cute to see Yuhi blushing during the radio program.
Yasumi throws a curveball to one up Yuhi.
Yuhi doesn’t like how Yasumi one-upped her.

That said, we got to see the radio program that her mother just listened to. Yuhi finds out from Yasumi that you can buy croquettes from butcher shops. Of course, Yuhi was blushing as the staff seemed to like that idea. Of course, Yuhi gets angry over Yasumi trying to mock her for not knowing something that obscures. Yep, Yasumi wants to one-up her, as Yuhi thinks it’s weird. Then again, it’s not strange as it would make sense. Since they have the meats, why not sell them as fried food.

Yuhi takes Yasumi to get some croquets.

Of course, Yuhi, after school, insists Yasumi take her to buy croquets since they shouldn’t live in a lie as much. Of course, Yasumi thinks Yuhi has a craving for them. As expected, Yuhi seems amazed that they are actually selling them, and they are delicious. She revealed to Yasumi that she lives with her mother, who works late, and her parents are divorced.

Yuhi shows her cuter side here.
At least they got a cute picture from this.

Of course, Yasumi also faces the same situation as she has no father and usually does the cooking. It shows that they have more in common than they thought. As expected, Yuhi shows them having croquet on social media. The funny thing is that Yasumi’s hand is covered by Yuhi’s. She doesn’t want to accidentally reveal to the world that she is a Gyaru girl.

Yasumi is happy to get a leading role with her Oshi Seiyuu.
But the idea of having to work with that seiyuu unsettles her.

As for the main event, Yasumi finds out she is starring a lead character, one of the three sisters in “Under the Purple Sky.” Yasumi gets to voice Saionji Aki, the youngest of the three sisters. Of course, Sakuranamiki Otome will play the main character, Saionji Haru, and Yuhi will play Saionji Natsu. Of course, Yasumi doesn’t seem to like that idea since she doesn’t get along with Yuhi for apparent reasons. Still, she decides to go along with it since it will be a make-or-break moment for her career. In other words, she had to deal with it.

At least Yasumi is happy to see Otome.
Yuhi really wants Yasumi to sit next to her.
Yuhi admits Yasumi’s performance is not too bad.

In the recording, Yuhi and Yasumi seem surprised that they have met each other. Of course, Yasumi showed excitement about seeing Otome again. Yuhi knows Otome, too. Once the recording is done, Yasumi feels a bit down as she feels her experience in voice recording pales in Yuhi, despite Yuhi praising her performance. Yuhi doesn’t seem to like how Yasumi talks down her own performance. Of course, Yasumi didn’t get that, but she isn’t repeating it again.

Oh no, Otome got into an accident during rehersal.
Can they do it without her?
Not bad!

Of course, there is the first event. Obviously, Otome is going through a lot with her workload. Besides the whole “I don’t like the idea of being an idol Seiyuu” talk from Yuhi, Yasumi doesn’t mind it that much as they Even after the rehearsal, it’s evident that Otome is exhausted as she tripped down the stairs and sprained her right foot. How can they do their event knowing the audience came to see Otome.

Yuhi and Yasumi decides to cut the cold reception, but how long will this last?

Somehow, they made it work by talking with her, but only Yasumi and Yuhi performed on stage. Still, the audience ate it up as they managed to pull through. Ultimately, Yasumi and Yuhi decided it was best to stop acting cold to each other as they apologized. They have the same goal of surpassing Otome. The question is, are they finally starting to defrost and warm up to each other? We’ll have to wait and see.

Again I like that this show isn’t another tsundere x tsundere thing. Their minds think work but their hearts want to be close to each other. Hopefully over time their hearts and minds work together to realize why that is. Enjoying this one quite a bit so far.

Agreed. Sure, they started off on the wrong footing, but it’s interesting that they have more things in common and a connection. Now that they reset their relationship given they were cold at first, I think this is where the pairing will ggt more interesting. It should be interesting to see how it eventually develops.
