Last time, Rouge stormed off because Naomi said a specific remark. However, Naomi found herself in a challenging situation with Rouge. She got famed for another murder she didn’t do. It might be obvious who did this.
As expected, Rouge enters a warehouse to meet Juval about the CFN, but she finds him dead. Yep, Rouge gets caught as Naomi’s bird witnesses the action. It seems that Rouge finally made up with Naomi as she tells her the police are coming. Of course, Rouge wants to say to fight Phantom Verde. She knows that if she is there, he will come.
Of course, Naomi wants to help her out of her own free will. Yep, she finally backtracked by saying she isn’t a tool, and neither is Rouge. Obviously, Naomi realized that she was immature, saying that thus she made up. Nice to see the two back together. Of course, she got in using other Aletheia credentials, with Investigator Ash trying to catch the red figure.
Obviously, she gets interrogated even though the only thing she answers is her name. The funny thing is that they are willing to execute Rouge despite being a Nean. When they turn against her while the police force comes in, Rouge manages to escape with Doctor Afdal’s assistant.
However, when they got to safety, he started acting weird as he came up to her, and Rouge hallucinated that Nean’s assistant injected her with something secretly as he acted all anxious. Rouge starts to freak out as she feels guilt about killing Sarah or Viola. However, she manages to escape it when she chokes the helper Nean. The funny thing is that Doctor Afdal appears, and actually, he is the one who killed Javal. Of course, he kills the helper Nean despite believing in him. When the doctor says it was an illusion, it’s obviously a setup to crush the CFN and oppress them. After all, he said freedom is an illusion. Surprisingly, he outed himself as a mole.
As for the fight, it was a tricky one as Phantom Verde uses hallucinogenic gas to make it harder for Rouge to find the real Phantom. It’s about what version of freedom is correct, which Rouge doesn’t believe Verde’s is. Of course, she manages to break through that nerve gas, kill Verde and obtain his ID. Still, I feel sympathetic toward the Neans being oppressed in the Nean settlement. I wonder if Verde’s intention was all along to crush the CFD.
Of course, Naomi was near the fight scene as she got into an encounter with Jaron. Of course, she can fight, but she only has martial arts and guns. Thankfully, Naomi made out safely. Thank goodness, as it would be wrong if she got killed when she just made up with Rouge. Still, something is a bit suspicious about that traveling carnival.
