After Utena named herself Magia Baiser. From last time, we see another girl who witnessed what Utena did. Now, Utena meets her after Venalita takes her to their headquarters.
As expected, her mother goes out, and of course, Venalita uses this time to take Utena to the base. This is where she meets Araga Kiwi. Her cute looks look deceiving as she plants a grenade in her hands before Utena transforms and avoids it. The interesting thing is that Koga Aoi voices her. Yes, it was Aoi who also voiced Shinomiya Kaguya.
Kiwi makes fun of Utena for being a weakling and total weirdo. Well, she doesn’t know that side of Utena as she finds out. Kiwi is a bully, and she uses a gun as a weapon. From a flashback, Venalita recruited her after Utena got upset that her cuteness was not catching anyone’s attention on social media. This is when she grows up and goes on a rant about magical girls.
Despite Kiwi being a bully, she finds Kiwi cute. Despite Kiwi hating everything about Tres Magia, Utena has another idea. She traps Kiwi in a giant light bulb, and Kiwi gets to see her sadistic side. Utena reveals that she doesn’t want to fight but wants to bully them. It’s not too surprising since she sees the magical girls she looks up to are strong and cute.
Well, despite nearly getting defeated by Surfur, she smiled since she was happy and her heart was full of joy. Utena can’t wait to make them writhe and squeal even if they get strong. Of course, Kiwi doesn’t understand this until Utena gives her the shock treatment. That is until she fell to the ground, and Utena embraces her. That is when Kiwi changes her mind. Still, a yuri pairing in the making? Obviously, as you see what happens next.
When Utena runs into Haruka. That is when Kiwi sees Utena, runs up to her from behind, and hugs her. Yep, she is totally in love with Utena. Makes me wonder if those shock treatments defrosted Utena. I definitely did, and their so-called date is excellent. Yep, Utena was surprised when Utena said it was a date. A lot of cute moments, such as Kiwi feeding Utena a piece of pancake. Of course, she got upset when Utena revealed she bought a Magia Azure figure.
Eventually, when Utena and Kiwi want to take a photo while transformed as part of their date. That is, Utena is against the idea for obvious reasons. It got the attention of Tres Magia. While Sulfur and Magenta deal with Kiwi, Utena has fun with Azure with the whole bondage BDSM and playing with her breasts while she is tied up and hanging.
When Utena realizes that Kiwi is in trouble and about to get defeated, she sacrifices her Azure figure to distract them so she can escape with Kiwi. I suppose Utena knows that she can simply buy another figure. The funny thing is that after Utena saves Kiwi, she wants a kiss. She even attempts to take Utena to a love hotel despite joking about going to one. I think this is the start of an exciting pairing for sure.

Maybe, but of course the magical girls has some resembles them stylewise, but given that this is a deconstruction of the mahou shoujo genre, well not too surprising.
Kiwi made quite the impression upon her debut, quickly shooting up to the #2 spot of my favs. Blue was still #1 in my heart at this time.
Forgot to mention Yellow’s grumpiness was a clear metaphor for sexual frustration. Very nicely done.
Kiwi is good for sure, but I find it funny how Utena to make her fall in love with her with some electric shocks. Quite shocking of course.
