Now that Rouge and Naomi have taken Viola down, they are off to their next destination in Wellstown. However, it seems that someone is after Rouge.
Before the opening, it is apparent that Investigator Ash is heading to Mars. We find out a bit about the incident of Neans killing humans. Aletheia, the group that oversees them, covered up two incidents. This includes the second murder from last time and Dr. Jung’s case. I wonder, who is he. They believe it’s the red-armored Nean who did it. We know that Hell Giallon might have famed her, but I wonder if he was part of the first murder incident.
With that, Naomi and Rouge are on a military-grade bus to another town. It’s surprising how big the bus was to their next destination. Naomi, of course, handed two chocolate bars to Rouge. We see that there is a whole family, a businessman, a journalist, a couple, and someone who is wear a trench coat.
Of course we see a brother and sister fighting over the camera. As expected, Naomi tries to have them focus on something else by giving a history about the war between aliens or the Usurpers and humans.
Apparently, the humans were friendly to the aliens, until more came and the bad ones came and attacked humanity. So much for Umika making friends with those aliens. Also, the ruins were the reminders of what happened during the war and what weapons were used.
Of course, humans also created those robots called Neans to fight along side. They are programmed not to attack humans and are essential to help build on Mars. Not too surprising to see Naomi so enthusiastic about the history of that war and knows all the weapons used as they passed by them.
As expected, it’s funny to see Rouge eat a chocolate bar. Somehow, one of the young girls want a piece. Rouge basically shoved the chocolate bar into her mouth, which surprised Naomi. Of course, a journalist lady named Jill took pictures of Rouge and Naomi. Apparently, she is studying the presence of Neans in society. This is when we find out that Rouge’s last name is Redstar. Makes sense since her name is based on the color of Mars.
However, trouble brewed when some mercenaries saw Rouge on the bus’s deck with the children. Apparently, there are ranks eventually surrounding the bus. That is while Naomi and Rouge hid before they made their surprise attack. Rouge kicked the crap out of the mercenaries. Of course, the granny taking control of the bus is the real MVP. Pretty exciting persuit at the very least.Although a business man got grazed by a bullet and a Neans had bullet damage, it wasn’t serious. Eventually, they went into a forest to lose the mercenaries.
Eventually the bus stopped working because of a cable. Naomi eventually goes into an abandoned miltary complex to look for a certain cable. The grandma went with her. Obviously, Rouge wants to go, but Naomi told her no. Of course, when Jill showed the pics about the mercenaries, Rouge says she follows orders. Jill convince her that she is free, meaning she can make her own choices.
Of course, this gets her into trouble when she took the little girl to take some pictures. One of the passengers are inspecting the ruins, until Emily accidentally activates one of the miltary equipment, which activates it. Of course, she had to take a picture, which causes them to move and detect them. Yep, it’s obvious this would happen because children.
While everyone made it back to the repaired bus safely, they got away while Rouge deals with those rogue crab like robots. It’s funny how the mercenaries are there finding Rouge. Of course, those robots obviated every single tank as she deals with those robots. Talking about killng two birds with one stone.
Eventually, she manages to defeat those robots and made it back alive as she hitchhikes as the bus comes near. She finally gives part of a chocolate bar to that girl after not giving any earlier. Also, she mentions that she have an older brother, which is interesting who it is.
Still, it’s cute how Naomi sees that Rouge finally grew up. Funny how Rouge says she is the precious little child went out into the world and climb the stairs of adulthood. But didn’t she say she was the previous little child and not an adult after devouring two chocolate bars. Either way, I can’t stop, but to be amazed by this duo.
@chikorita157 Ok, I wanna try this reply thing!
2nd episode was good!
I liked the concept of all these characters together on the desert bus. The journalist. The rich couple. The Nean servant. The doctor. The annoying guy. The grandma! Several of them did suspicious things but I can't tell who, if anyone, is a bad guy!
Combat animation was good this time. Some really cool frames as Rouge took out the Cylinder Heads.
Looks like we'll get to the next city next… Fun!
Agreed. The passengers on the bus was interesting and as expected, like Naomi passionately talk about the war between humans and aliens, but it does give more information of how Neans come to be. Also, interesting how a grandmother can drive that bus.
It looks like the mercenaries got the short end of the stick, quite amazing how Rouge dealt with those crab robots while the crabs defeat the mercenaries. Still, I wonder what is Naomi’s and Rouge’s next target at the city.
(hopefully this reply should show up in your replies, since the ActivityPub plugin supports showing of replies both way. I wonder how this will work)
