Last time, Haruno challenged Matataki to another duel as she promised she would beat her. From the looks of it, they are going to need some help.
Haruno said last time that there would be another rocket duel. It’s funny to see Umika’s reaction when she notices the goggles that Haruno swiped from Matataki. She admits to getting into an argument. That means Umika requests help from no other than Kei herself. How she lost her way to meet up with Umika, Yuu, and Haruno was funny.
You might wonder why Umika visited Kei’s Rocketry Research Club Room, where they met Kei’s teammates, Teruya Neon and Yugumo Michiru. While they sometimes seem to get into an argument, such as fighting over the laptop, I feel Neon and Michiru might make a good pairing. Of course, there is a nice collection of model rockets, but it can explain why Kei doesn’t have much money. We know where all the money went. Also, Michiru and Neon share some embarrassing stuff about Kei, such as forgetting the tournament entries.
With that, Kei checked Umika’s rocket and noticed several mistakes with fin placement, the connection of the head being too tight and the low center of gravity. Thankfully, Kei showed Umika, Yuu, and Haruno how to place the fins correctly using a jig, which she shared the blueprint of. She suggests sanding the connecting piece of the head of the rocket so it can come off when it’s time to make a landing and using a string to figure out the center of gravity. Also, it’s interesting that Kei shows Umika and her friends a rocket simulation program to estimate how their rocket will launch.
As expected, Umika shows a lot more courage coming to Matataki’s place to issue a challenge. Matataki seems out of it as she takes the challenge. The exciting thing is when Matataki and Umika launched their rocket, Umika went higher. That is until Haruno discovers that Matataki uses a less powerful engine since she doesn’t think Umika and her friends would win. Of course, Matataki puts herself down by saying Umika doesn’t need her while she says she is useless.
That is when Umika hugs Matataki out of nowhere. Umika discovers that Matataki is the same who feels weak, miserable, and in pain. While Matataki denies this, she is pretty much an open book and tries to hide this fact.
We find out that Matataki felt this way during elementary school as she selfishly lashes out with harsh words over little things, and no one talks to her. She was afraid that she would lose the friends she made in the Rocket Research Association and that she cared more about winning as she ignored them, only to lose horribly. At least she admits that she felt hurt.
Thankfully, Umika reassures her that her relationships aren’t going to disappear. That is when Matataki admits she had fun building rockets with Umika, Yuu, and Haruno and wants to do it again. With that, it’s nice to see the team back together. Of course, I find it funny how Umika, Haruno, and Yuu rubbed Matataki’s forehead, and she got upset over it. Haruno, of course, gave back Matataki’s goggles. Somehow, while they head back to celebrate their reunion, Umika collapses. Also, it’s funny to see Yuu call Matataki a Tsundere Alien, as Matataki calls Yuu a Bun Nut, as usual.

Stardust Telepath Episode 11: Find Your Soul – The Yuri Empire
I had a feeling Umika would lead the way to healing Matataki’s heart. Good thing Haruno at least got to kick things off. Matataki’s emptiness was scary and sad to see. Very glad our heroines were able to free her in an expectedly gripping scene.
My heart hurt knowing there’s only one episode left.
I do agree since she is the one that brought Matataki to the team with that duel. But props to Haruno doing to to bring Matataki back.
