Now that Dia has finally broken her Jinx, Kitasan looks forward to running a race with Dia at the Arima Kinen race. Yes, it concerns a promise they made during their childhoods.
As expected, Kitasan is on a roll with 4 straight G1 race wins. She recently won first in a recent race. As expected, Sounds of Earth is the best horse girl for some and the best addition to Team Canopus. Not sure if she can beat Kitasan again after doing so in Takarazuka Kinen.
As we know, with Vivlos and Verxina’s meeting with Cheval Grand at a dinner, she hasn’t gotten any wins. Yes, it’s frustrating, given that she hasn’t gotten any wins compared to Violos and Verxina. Cheval only won third in the last race, which is not enough. Can she really make it this time? I’m not too sure since Dia looks like a favorite, and she has other competition.
Of course, Kitasan is working hard to prepare for the Arima Kinen. While she is progressing well with her training, it’s Kitasan’s turn to spend time with her Oishi. After all, Dia did her last time. Kitasan of course shares her excitement to run in the Arima Kinen with Dia with Teio. Teio’s win at the Arima Kinen inspires Kitasan to perform on the same stage someday with someone in mind.
We find out that Kitasan promised Dia to win the Arima Kinen so they can perform on the same stage. While Kitasan said she could split some things, winning first place at the Arima Kinen isn’t one of them. One of them has to get second place. Yes, it’s the same race that Kitasan was frustrated at last year since she only got third place. While she trained a lot, Kitasan is determined to win even though she has been outclassed by Dia since her childhood.
Of course, Teio does not have much to say except that being in good shape sometimes doesn’t mean doing great mentally. Either way, she wishes Kitasan good luck. Like with Nature, she does not have much advice to give, except for Kitasan to do her best. Meanwhile, during the party, Satono Crown reveals to Dia that she won her first race overseas, and it’s thanks to Dia winning her first G1 and breaking that Jinx. After all, it shows that Dia has momentum as she mentions her promise and desire to race overseas for the Satono family’s glory.
On the day before the race, Kitasan talked to Dia. It looks like they have a hard time sleeping before the big day. Kitasan mentions how amazing Dia is catching up and surpassing herself. Dia says Kitasan’s determination, cheerfulness, and the ability to make others happy. Either way, they seem excited for the race.
At the race, Kitasan wanted to say something to Dia when they were on the race track. Of course, Dia has the eyes on her goal. As for the race itself, it came very close, as Kitasan tried to make it first. While she got the lead to the end, all her training and hard work seemed insufficient.
Kitasan came very close to finally beating Dia after she surpassed Kitasan during most of her childhood. Ultimately, Kitasan lost against Dia by a hair and only got second place. Still, Kitasan admits that she can’t beat Dia after all when Dia mentions that she is also chasing after Kitasan during this race. Of course, like Gold Ship, Sounds of Earth only got 8th place. At least Dia and Kitasan achieved their promise, performing their Winning Live on the same stage.

I got Austin vs Rock Wrestlemania 17 vibes from Kita vs Diamond and it’s exciting stuff. Interested to see how Kita bounces back from this loss.
Poor Cheval Grande.
Best part was the return of Best Horse SoE. Blesseth be the stage mare and hope she has a Twin Turbo moment rather than another Gold Ship moment. She deserves a win.
Yes, it’s interesting that Dia won against Kitasan after she got her first win, but hopefully won’t let this loss become a huge setback given how close it was
Always nice to see ounds of Earth again of course.
