After having a few wins, Kitasan finally reached the Senior Class. However, she hasn’t been winning as of late. With that, she wants more vigorous training to stand a chance from a familiar cyborg horse girl with a horse girl who has a crush on her.
Kitasan is sitting on a tree trunk as Nature goes to her. Kitasan hasn’t been winning first, and she seems sad. When she thinks about it deeper, she becomes more anxious as Nature tries to calm her down and cheer her up with sweets. Besides, two girls carrying a keyboard are about to run into Kitasan. She managed to stop them without getting hurt.
Yep, we find out that Kitasan is a horse girl with a lot of toughness. No wonder she can pull a truck with a flat tire and help people out. That said, she asked him about this training, but obviously, he refused over the worry of Kitasan possibly injuring herself. I guess he knows all well with Teio. Of course, Teio and Shizuka help convince him so Kitasan can get more demanding training to have a better chance of winning a race.
As expected, Trainer knew where to ask. That is while Kitasan gets prepared for the training from hell for a month. That means possibly missing a race that Dia plans to race in and hopefully win. It’s nice to see Dia give a pendent to give Kitasan strength when she is in training.
While Kitasan is sleeping, it’s obvious what horse girl Trainer is getting help from for this training. Yep, Mihono Barboun and Rice Shower. It’s nice to see one of my favorite horse girls pairing again since they are cute. Still, it’s impressive how Mihono managed to transport the bed Kitasan was sleeping in without noticing until she woke up in the morning.
Still, it’s unsurprising that Trainer tasked Mihono with training Kitasan with some of the most challenging training imaginable. She has to run on the mountain road, pull some giant ties, do 1000-meter interval running, break roof tiles, and rock climb in three hours.
Kitasan initially had trouble, but eventually, she got the hang of it until she lost motivation and progress. Of course, she receives some downtime with nicely cooked Rice Shower meals. Finally, Kitasan begins to lose gain and feel down before remembering Dia’s pendant and the race. It’s the next day.
The next day, Kitasan takes a breather and runs down from the mountain to see Dia run. Sadly, despite having a good start, Dia didn’t, as she only got third place. When Kitasan heard about the “Satono jinx,” Kitasan didn’t know what to think, but she had to work harder.
Despite Dia’s loss, what gives Kitasan confidence and motivation is that Dia says that Diamonds shine brighter than any other and never break. With that, Dia is confident she can win the Nippon Derby. That is when Kitasan remembered what Dia said before she left. After a while, Kitasan progresses again before getting one training session, 1 second below three hours. Is this enough for Kitasan to start winning again? We have to wait and see next time.

The best couple blessing us with their return instantly made this the best episode so far.
Poor Diamond has a tough road ahead too. Hopefully she’ll eventually rise to the occasion and win big races.
Mihono and Rice Shower is always one of the good pairings. But yes, it’s sad that Dia didn’t get it, but she will get it eventually.
