After Kitasan finally won the Kikkashou, Dia finally made her debut. Of course, there is one surprise, which involves Gold Ship.
At last, it’s nice to see Dia’s turn in seeing her debut. Of course, she came in first and afterward, Kitasan finally celebrates Dia’s win with a party. She had a party with Satono Crown and Cheval Grand, who is probably dragged to come by Crown.
With that, Kitasan asks Dia about her goals. Dia’s goal is to target the classic Triple Crown and get a G1 title the Satono family yearned for. We, of course, find out what Kitasan’s next goal is. Well, to run in the Arima Kinen. The thing Is, she can run in this race since she won the Kikkashou. Yes, this is the race that she gets to race with horses from her generation and other horse girls from the senior class. This includes, of course, Gold Ship, which is the focus of this episode.
After Kitasan plans to share her intentions, the trainer discovers that Gold Ship did something with the running gates outside the training house. Still, Gold Ship is acting funny as she is confident she will get her seventh G1 turf win and an 8th Arima winning streak, but can she really do it.
As expected, it’s funny to see the newest member of Team Canopus, Sounds of Earth. What a name as she plays the violin and tries to corner Kitasan. Yep, It’s a lovely moment from the Sounds of Earth. Thankfully, Grass Wonder came to wide on a swan boat to give advice to Kitasan. We know why Kitasan is excited about it since it’s the same race Tokai Teio ran in. While Nice Nature said this one is special, Kitasan will find out.
Meanwhile, there is Gold Ship as she trained. It looks like she became self-complacent as Kitasan works hard. It becomes noticeable as Kitasan brings back a pile of carrots from her supports wrapped in a newspaper of Gold Ship losing the Japan Cup, coming in 10th as her strategy failed. Not only that, Gold Ship had that letter on her desk. It becomes apparent what she plans to do.
When Gold Ship went on television to go for the Dream Trophy League and quit the Twinkle series. Arima will be her last run. I guess the string of losses frustrated her, and she needed a change of pace after Kitasan talked to her. While her strategy of catching up from behind worked for a while until it didn’t. Clearly, she got so overconfident with her wins that her strategy stopped working after a time. She started acting odd as she had trouble controlling her emotions and exiting the racing gate at one point.
Sure, Kitasan seems sad that Gold Ship will be running for the last time, but it’s not the end of her dream. Yep, Kitasan seems emotional that she will take Gold Ship’s win. Still, she wants Kitasan to compete as she usually does.
As for the race itself, Kitasan was in first place until the very end when All Haiyu and Sounds of Earth passed Kitasan. Gold Ship tried her usual strategy, but it didn’t pan out, as she only got 8th place. Perhaps everyone has surpassed Gold Ship.
Still, Kitasan was emotional about beating Gold Ship, but she takes it differently. Gold Ship’s fans gave a standing ovation, taking the attention away from Haiyu, the winner. Only a horse girl with overpowering beauty and an enjoyable personality can do that. I wonder if Gold Ship can have a comeback someday in the new league she participates in. Only time can tell as she passes the Rubik’s cube with one side solved to Kitasan. Now it’s up to Kitasan to win the Arima 6 more times to surpass her.
Best of luck to Gold Ship in her new Grand Prix. Hope she overcomes her losing streak.
Sounds of Earth is love. Cheval Grand is adorable. Need more of them going forward.
Hopefully Gold Ship will stage a comeback, especially given her dedicated fan base supporting her along the way.
For sure, yes.
