After Anon and her friends finish their performance, Soyo seems very upset. Also, what is up with Saki running away after hearing that particular song.
Last time, Soyo became very upset after Anon and her friends finished their second song, which was well received. Yes, it’s because Soyo didn’t want to play “Spring Sunlight” since it was that particular song from the last band before it broke up. Of course, Taki said that she never said they wouldn’t play it.
When Soyo points out that this made Saki cry and how hurt she was, Taki says, “So what if she cried.” This indicates that Taki and Tomori had already moved on, and it didn’t matter if they performed Spring Sunlight. Even so, Soyo is in denial as she becomes upset and runs away. She is not seen for a whole day and never comes to practice. That is when Anon and Tomori went to Soyo’s school to see if she was there. Sadly, her classmates said she was sick from a cold, but that is far from the truth.
From last time, it’s evident that Saki wants to forget about the band. She spent time with her friend, Uika, in the garden. When Uika asks how Saki’s band is going, she doesn’t want to mention it. Of course, she recalled the time during their childhood when Uika met Saki, who was playing with a doll. They did various stuff, such as collecting bugs and looking at the sky. That is when Saki’s timer went off, and want to talk about something important.
In the meanwhile, Soyo is not taking well to Saki getting upset. She was rage-sending text messages trying to apologize for what happened. Sadly, she gets no response until she finds out what she fears the most. Saki blocked her, which got Soyo upset. Soyo goes to school acting like nothing wrong has happened, but she tries to ask Musumi for help to get to Saki. Soyo had Musume take her to Saki’s house against her will.
As expected, Soyo’s meeting with Saki didn’t go so well. Soyo apologizes fiercely for playing the song that her bandmates forced her to. She also makes it apparent that she wants to bring back CRYCHIC. From the looks of it, Soyo only went to join Anon’s band as a stepping stone to get back CRYCHIC. She doesn’t care about Anon and Rana. They are just there to further her goals.
When Saki said she didn’t care if Soyo’s band played that song, she made it clear that she ended CRYCHIC and has no intention of bringing it back. Saki points out that Soyo is contradicting herself. Yep, Soyo is in denial. Musumi betrays her as she does not answer about wanting to join the band. Obviously, she didn’t give an answer since she clearly didn’t enjoy her last time.
I feel that Soyo needs to move on. CRYCHIC isn’t coming back, and everyone has moved on. Soyo keeps holding on to the past, but I think at this point, she needs to accept reality and stay in the band she is currently in. Sadly, I feel that this drama might break Anon’s band before they even got started. After all, if Soyo can’t bring back CRYCHIC, what is the point of her being in a band.
With all this drama, can MyGo even get off the ground? I wish they got past the drama, but we aren’t there yet. I have to admit, I can relate to Rana. She finally joined Anon’s band and called Anon and Tomori over. She becomes disappointed when Anon is unsure about practicing with or without her. That is despite Tomori’s desire to practice. She basically called them “boring girls” and got off and left. I relate, given the chaotic state of the band and Soyo not letting go of the past. She has had enough of the drama and wants to play music in a band. We’ll see if Soyo finally moves on or remains in denial next time.
