After Elda and Koito deal with the roof leak and clean up Elda’s closet, we glimpse their daily lives. Of course, the other elf goddess gets a focus too.
I must admit, it was interesting to see a day of the life of the elf ladies. First, we saw Elda’s, and it’s pretty relatable. She wakes up late, has breakfast while surfing the internet, has lunch, looks at animals, does her usual prayers, plays video games, takes a bath and sleeps.
The way she lives her everyday life is close to what I did during my gap years between my old job and my new job (late 2016 to February 2020). I woke up late and spent hours on the computer or playing video games. Still, seeing a snapshot of Elda’s life is pretty funny, especially when she plays video games, and Koito scolds her for dozing off on her prayers and having an evening snack.
In the next segment, we see Himari looking after Yolde. Besides having to find her and Yolde eating, Of course, there is not a moment where Yolde is not eating something. Also, Yolde wants to play with Himari, and we get to see the photos Himari printed out from her Tokyo trip. Of course, they want to visit them someday, but not on a whim like Yolde intends to. Also, it’s funny how Yolde unevenly split the pork meat bun. Himari takes the smaller half after looking at Yolde, looking like she wants it.
In the last segment, we look at Isuzu’s life as an influencer. While she is popular, we see Haira wanting to go to the boat race. She plans to take a bike, but Isuzu reminds her of the money she borrowed and the interest.
Yep, Isuzu forced Haira to repay her, meaning she can’t go. Instead, Isuzu and Haira stayed at the shrine and tended the garden with herbs, fruits, and vegetables. I wouldn’t be surprised if Haira gave Koito and Elda a present of herbs from her garden. Of course, Isuzu didn’t get any pictures of Haira as she had hoped. Still, at least Haira attempted to take a selfie with Isuzu. While Haira didn’t take the shot correctly and was out of focus, it made her smile. The funny thing is that Elda and Koito receive a copy of the photobook. Still, they don’t want to do a photobook together. That is not too surprising, given Elda’s shy personality.
After the credits, we see a glimpse of Koito’s life. Yep, we see her putting a can of Red Bull in front of the shrine backroom. The funny thing is that Koito looked at high heels in a magazine, and Koma said it didn’t suit her. Koito hasn’t given up wanting to grow up, as she drinks a glass of milk. Koito hopes by doing this, she will grow taller. I don’t think it will have much effect.
Not much to say about this episode. It’s fun seeing the Miko/elf pairs doing their thing. Elda and Koito’s contrasting daily routines were fun too.
Yes, usually episodes like these are straight forward, but it’s nice to see the day of the life of the elf pairings, but interesting to see Elda’s and Koito’s daily life as well.
