After Kanako reveals her intention to get rid of the Schwestern system, Sumika didn’t see this as a good thing. Of course, Sumika sees Kanako’s romantic feelings towards Hime as a threat. The question is, how does Kanako take it?
She doesn’t take it well when Sumika says that Kanako must give up her romantic feelings towards Kanako. She basically went up and left after telling Sumika off, saying she is the type that interferes. While Sumika is absolute with her goals, Kanako simply not having it. Kanako’s shy girl façade is broken here as she shows her true feelings.
Eventually, Kanako gets away from Sumika. She tried to call Hime, but she wouldn’t answer. Obviously, she wants to hear her voice as a thing that would calm her down. She eventually resorts to looking at her Hime photo collection, especially the one that is special to her. Yes, the one that she took during middle school.
This is where the story of how Kanako develops a crush on Hime. Believe it or not, while Kanako is an introverted, shy nice girl, she seems to hate everyone in her class. She doesn’t like being around the “good kids,” who are very sociable. So while Hime acts like a popular good girl, Kanako would rather be alone. That is until Hime appeared at the spot Kanako hung out during lunch.
Of course, she doesn’t think much about her, although Kanako sees her as cute. She wondered if she would tell the teacher about her if she ate near the roof access door. Instead, Hime went to Kanako’s usual spot to check on her. This is a sign that she kind of cares about Kanako.
Of course, the students gave her the task of making a sign to congratulate her class’s teacher on getting married. She didn’t even care about it, and it was forced on her since she didn’t take part in any of the video records. However, Kanako couldn’t bring herself to say no. As expected, she hated doing the task, although being forced to do so. Hime said Kanako could have told her classmates that she didn’t have to do it.
Eventually, the students said that Kanako was done as they framed it. Of course, Kanako had all the pent-up anger from being forced to do the poster that she smashed her own work. Hime saw her do it but said nothing. The funny thing is the students get upset, and Kanako admits to doing it under pressure. Then, Hime steps in and outright lies that Kanako didn’t do it. It reminds you of the lies Hime told to be with Mitsuki in an earlier flashback. The classmates forget about the incident and make another poster just in time.
As expected, there are some similarities between Mitsuki and Kanako. While Kanako is not treated poorly, she hates most of her classmates, as Mitsuki does. After all, they are all stuck up and such or they are introverted. Also, Hime said the whole thing of getting along with her classmates as a façade.
With that, Kanako develops a liking for Hime, given how kind and cute. Yep, her attraction towards girls seems to awaken as she sees Hime as someone special. This is the case after taking that photo with Hime. After that, she didn’t think much about Hime, saying Kanako reminded her of a certain girl. That is until she ran into Mitsuki on the way to the bus. She said to Mitsuki she had nothing like her. Sadly, Kanako isn’t the only one that knows Hime’s true nature. We now know why Kanako is obsessed with Hime, but can it last. Will Sumika get her way and tell her to stop? We have to wait and see.
Good to learn why Kanoko loved Hime so much. Passive aggression can sting almost as much as blatant attacks. Kanoko refusing to accept her similarities with Mizuki fueled her inner beast.
Looking forward to the gyaru and the beast waging war next time.
Not too surprising since Hime is the one that understands how she feels. Still, I can see why Kanako turned sour with Sumika as she was blunt on how she felt. But hopefully Sumika can turn tings around with Kanako and get her to accept fate as she doesn’t stand a chance against Mizuka, the person Kanako is envious of with her sisterhood with Hime.
