After Noa discovers Kokona’s sense as Shizuka becomes visible to everyone, we finally find out who she is.
After Shizuka comes in to save Kokona’s and Kathrina’s performance, Noa becomes intrigued by Kokona’s sense. Not only that, but everyone can also see Shizuka now and Panda wonders who is the blue-haired girl. This is when Kokona becomes surprised that everyone can see Suzuka now.
With all the performances done, Kokona seems happy that Yae received much praise. Of course, Shizuka will be biased toward Kokona since she is rooting for her. Still, it’s nice that Kathrina defrosted since their performance.
When she tried to thank Kokona, Panda and Sassu entered the room. They want to throw a welcome party for the newcomers. The thing is, it’s just a ploy to investigate who Susuka is. Also, it’s nice to see Kokona have bonding time with Kathrina. I admit that defrosted Kathrina is pleasant compared to her tsundere self as they drag her away. However, they are more interested in learning about Kokona since she suddenly showed up and saved Kokona’s and Kathrina’s performances.
In short, Sassu and Panda took Kokona to their room. We find out a bit more about the senses. It’s something actors came up with to shine as the stage became crowded. It’s a way to survive. While heading to the grocery store with Kathrina, Kokona reveals how she met Shizuka. Apparently, Shizuka existed when Kokona dreamed of becoming a World Dai Star. Sadly, she fails many auditions since the judges say she “lacked sense.”
She cried on the train on her way home until Kokona saw Shizuka acting and even standing on the seat. Shizuka introduces herself and reveals she came into existence to help make Kokona’s dream come true. In a way, Kokona’s sense was born to help Kokona achieve her dream. Believe it or not, Shizuka is the idealized version of Kokona. She is everything that Kokona wants to be.
This revelation dispels the speculation that Shizuka is an imaginary friend or a ghost. Especially the former, since everyone can see her now. She can even copy the costume an actor is wearing as well. We also learned that Suzuka appeared on stage as she wanted Kokona’s performance to succeed when she shouldn’t have. She might not do it again, but who knows if she will become a regular actress like the others in the trope.
With that, Kokona and Kathrina came back from shopping. They are making a German dish, schnitzel, basically the German version of tonkatsu. I find it funny how Kokona leaves Kathrina to pan-frying the pork while she works on the salad. Sure, Kathrina tried to use her sense to become a master chef, but she ended up burning it. So naturally, Gordon Ramsay wouldn’t be happy with her making this mistake. Thankfully, Kokona teaches her how to do it properly.
Of course, Kathrina, from this failure, recalls the moment she messed up her performance at her previous trope. As seen in a flashback in the last episode, Kathrina was a solo actress. Everyone was willing to put up with her since her parents were Dai Stars. Sadly, after her blunder, she couldn’t recover from it. She almost had the same thing happen, but thankfully Kokona and Shizuka helped her recover. Still, it can explain why she finally defrosted as Kokona saved her.
Of course, Kokona shared her experiences of failing many auditions and Shizuka yelling at her for losing the role. Still, Kokona is happy with her performance and hopes to do even better next time.
In short, the food is all done as Noa continues to sleep while Shamo combs her hair. I find it funny how Shizuka gets jealous of Kathrina getting a bit close. Then, of course, Yae comes back with some Taiyaki. As they start having their party. That is before Noa becomes suspicious of the party, as it’s not a tradition but an opportunity for Kathrina to apologize to Kokona.
From the looks of it, Noa was planning another performance when Yae came in with a request. What is it? We’ll find out next time.
The mystery of Shizuka’s identity continues but we learned a little more about her. More importantly she gay for Kokona.
Kathrina’s turn to the light is complete after falling for Kokona. Can she beat a “Sense” for her heart though?
Nice to see Noa take it easy though she’s her own emotional struggles. Probably related to expectations.
It’s not too surprising to see Shizuka being a part of Kokona, but it seems that Kokona created a love triange with Kathrina. I wonder how this will turn out, although Shizuka has an upper hand.
