From last time, Kokona did her auditions, and the old lady who manages Sirus seems surprised by her performance. So the question is, did Kokona make it?
From the looks of it, Kokona manages to pass the audition. However, I wonder how she pulled it off, given as not even Noa knows how. Either way, Kokona appears happy she finally passed the audition on the second try. As they say, the second try is the charm.
When Kokona with Shizuka arrives at the dorms, they see a red otter named Dugong. It may look cute, and otters in real life are, but it gives a scary look to Kokona. Eventually, they saw the old lady, whose name was Yamabuki Shamo. She is the president of the Sirius troupe and, believe it or not, was a World Dai Star.
The funny thing is that Kathrina and Kokona share the same room, like it or not. Sure, Kathrina makes a big deal of sharing the same room. She wants a room to herself, but Noa wouldn’t allow it since she wants Kathrina and Kokona to get along. So Noa had to point out that they might get into roles of being family members and, well, being romantic partners. Kind of obvious what Noa is hinting at here.
While Kotona wants to befriend her, she still acts cold toward her. It’s not too surprising since they view each other as rivals. They have an audition for their debut play, “The Tales of the Bamboo Cutter.” It’s hilarious how Kathrina created a boxed divider to separate her and Kokona’s sides in their dorm room. That was before Panda and Sassu (Sasuga Chisa) invited them to bathe together. Of course, Kathrina didn’t come, but Kokona isn’t giving up on her.
The exciting part is that Shamo never acknowledged Shizuka. Also, when Kokona talks to Shizuka in their room, Kathrina gets annoyed, saying that Kokona should stop talking to herself.
Believe it or not, I overlooked people not being able to see Shizuka. I didn’t acknowledge this about her, which one of my friends (OG-Man) mentioned in his review. So who is Shizuka, exactly? Is she Kokona’s imaginary friend, a ghost, or an embodiment of Kokona’s Sense? If Shizuka is a ghost of Kokona’s best friend that passed away for some reason, is Kokona’s dream of becoming a Super Dai Star to fulfill Shizuka’s dream? Still, it remains a mystery what her Sense is.
After Kokona and Kathrina saw the performance of the scenes from Sassu, Panda, and Yae. Of course, Kokona becomes captivated by Yae’s performance as Kaguya. Also, Panda seems skeptical of Katerina’s mannerisms and how Kokona pulled off a performance while lacking skill.
With that, Kokona planned with Shizuka how to pass the audition. Shizuka wonders if she can pull off what she did in the first audition, she might pass. The first person that is up is Kathrina. While she gave an impressive performance after studying the play. As for Kokona, she stuck with Shizuka’s plan until she saw Yae and did the performance on how she will do it.
You might be wondering what Kokona’s Sense is. Perhaps her Sense allows her to mimic someone’s performance. For example, when Yae asks what kind of performer she wants to be, she embodies Shizuka in that scene from “The Little Mermaid.” Then, after seeing Yae in the audience, she performed Kaguya’s role as Yae would. Panda took notice. Sure, mimicking someone else may seem like cheating. Still, it can be a powerful skill if Kokona has self-confidence.

Kokona’s Sense is impressive but not useful if you only depend on it. You can take notes but not do it the exact same way.
Panda and Chisa are alright so far. Kathrina I’m waiting to see defrost.
It should be interesting what they decide on Kokona. Since Shamo picked her, who knows if she will step in. But it can be a possibility of her doing the same here, but of course Kokona can only go so far from using that sense, but she needs to, well find a way to make her performance even etter.
Kathrina really needs to defrost, but we’ll see when.
