Aoba West meets their match, but their first challenger might be tough to beat. Yes, Hana brings up the desire for that thing, but there is something more to her.
As expected, it looked as if Michi would win against Hana. Sadly, she fell short, although her friends are rooting her on. While she managed to escape Hana’s grip, the last time, she couldn’t. The same happened with Sanae, Hana easily defeated her without much effort, and Sanae was shocked. As expected, Hana acts cocky as if she had an easy win. Thankfully Nagumo and Michi slap her in the butt to prevent Sanae from putting herself down.
There is Himeno’s match. While she put up a good game and was even close to defeating Hana, she slipped. It seems that she doesn’t have the endurance to keep fighting at her full strength to finish the job. It must be her rushing to get stronger that might be the problem.
Still, she doesn’t want to regret her last match. Of course, Shino mentions that keeping her pride in herself is more important. Regardless of the time and whether she wins or loses, she will feel that she saw it correctly. We also see some flashbacks of Himeno’s efforts during the training sessions and talking with her Ami.
With that, this leaves Aoba West with only one member left. Yes, that is Towa. Of course, Towa came out of the gate bursting as she was relentless with Hana. Hana couldn’t catch her name before she realized her middle school years. Believe it or not, Hana went to the same school as Erika. In the flashback, Hana is angry after Towa, who has a white belt, wins against her with a strange pin. It was a proper technique. Erika doesn’t respect her, given her lack of sportsmanship.
Of course, the same happens when Towa manages to throw her down after Hana is released from her pin. Hana gets even angrier after seeing Towa’s smile, which looks evil. In fact, it was just Towa getting excited at the moment. This, of course, leaves us with Emma, who is a newcomer. Can Towa take down the remaining 4 and prove she is a GOAT? We have to wait and see next time in the finale.
Our heroines losing wasn’t surprising because Japanese sports anime often have the team lose because “realism”. It’s annoying. At least we got a butt slap from Hot Coach to Himeno.
Hopefully Nagumo FINALLY gets to compete in the last episode.
Yes, it’s not too surprising either given that they are facing off a tough team. I do wonder, will Shino risk it by bringing in Nagumo against the new comer? But still be interesting how the rest of the round turns out.
