After Euphie gives an excellent presentation, Al’s faction seems visibly angry as they can’t whisk the dragon magicite away. However, Al has another plan that catches Anis off guard.
You might be wondering why there was a flashback with Lainie and Al as they were in a carriage. We see a commoner girl trip and the carriage drop. They eventually saw a bunch of noble children try to bully her. Lainie also mentions being put in an orphanage after her mother passed away until a noble family took her in. Yep, Al talks about the disparity in the kingdom between commoners and nobles. As expected, nobles have all the power since they have magic.
It becomes apparent what intention he has, but he does it at what cost. He intended to use Lainie to further his agenda. It’s probably not just a ploy to break the arranged marriage. He probably knew about Lainie’s powers and wanted to make her queen so he could use her powers to influence everyone. Of course, his dad discovers the truth about Lainie with Anis’s help, and she takes her in. This can be why he wanted to fight the dragon so badly, so he could get a hand on its magicite. We knew how this turned out.
With his plan to take the magicite by that forced presentation failing thanks to Euphie, he decides to take drastic action. You might wonder why he tried to ruin Anis’s reputation by saying she is a lunatic. We see this in the hall where Anis and Euphie are. Then, of course, one of Al’s henchmen tries to ruin Anis’s reputation. I can see why Anis’s reputation is terrible, so Al can frame his older sister for Lainie’s murder so he can take absolute power.
After Laine had tea made by Ilia, the siren activated. They tried to make an escape to the castle, but it was a trap. Al managed to stab Lainie and take out her Magicite. Thanks to Tilty, Anis and Euphie escaped and flew back to the villa. Sadly, they were too late as Ilia and Lainie were in critical condition as Euphie healed them.
Sadly, Al went to the dark side as he forcefully stuffed Lainie’s magicite into his body. It becomes evident that Al went off the deep end and became something unredeemable. He has good intentions to balance the power between nobles and commoners. Still, the way he goes about it is unethical.
He apparently wants to use vampire powers to take control of everyone’s minds and carry out his ideals with absolute power. This contrasts what Anis did by applying the magicite on her body, but not in her body. Also, Anis intends to carry out her ideals by giving everyone magic through her magical inventions. That way, it won’t take complete control of her, which Al will learn the hard way.
Of course, Anis believes Al is a monster, and no humans will accept him. Even if he takes control and expels all the nobles, they could always break free from his influence and plot against him. As expected, we know how Anis feels about monsters. As Anis said before, when she and Euphie goes and defeats the dragon. Anis said monsters take people’s smiles away, and magic can be used for good. As for Al, he sees it as a curse and becoming a monster is the best way to fulfill his ideals.
Still, Anis will stop him at all costs as her little brother becomes the monster she dislikes the most. Finally, Anis will defeat him as she did with the dragon. If she loses, he will take people’s smiles away. Still, it’s fascinating. With eight episodes, the story takes a dark turn, and we will see Al’s ultimate downfall.

Prince Al-Hole must be punished for ruining greatness. No sympathy for him.
Thw ladies all ruled as always.
I NEED HOT MAID X HOT VAMPIRE CUTIE ACTION! Do you understand me Macho Chikorita?
For sure, he will he what he deserves soon enough, and perhaps we learn why he did it.
Yes, Lainie and Ilia will make a great pairing.
We have to wait the next episode to know the destiny of our cute vampire, left with a hole in her chest. Let’s cheer for the efficiency of her “plot armor”, specially for those who desire a future Ilia x Lainie couple.
And no pity for prince Algard. All his speach goes several laps only to return to his lack of self-confidence in front of his sister. In the end, self-depreciation was the motive for his murder attempt and shows that Algard really doesn’t have the qualities demanded for a leader.
Since Lainie is a vampire, surely she will make it out and of course, Ilia has the plot armor, but hopefully they will survive for sure.
Yes, Al is pretty much screwed and obviously no sane leader will go out and murder someone and become a vampire and mope around having no self-confidence. But surely we learn why he actually did it soon.
