Now that Sarasa managed to have her atelier repaired while making a lot of money selling some stuff. However, she is not done as she wants to make more money. Also, she wants a refrigerator and freezer, which require some materials.
After being in the green for at least one episode, Sarasa doesn’t feel comfortable yet, as she has a long way to go to reach profitability. To do that, she needs to expand her customer base to stay in business. Unfortunately, serving gatherers can only go so far in earning money. So I can see why she wants to make stuff villagers can use since it will bring in more dough.
Of course, a wasp stung one of Lorea’s cheeks, which gave Sarasa an idea. She wants Spite Worms so she can create an insect-repellent veil. Too bad Lorea didn’t have one so she wouldn’t get stung. Still, it’s part of the plan to expand her customer base by catering to villagers’ needs. Then, of course, there is Lorea’s desire for Sarasa to get a freezer and refrigerator. Thankfully, Sarasa had the idea of what to use to make it work, frostland bat fangs.
The funny thing is that none of the gatherers heard of this bat creature. Apparently, it doesn’t attack and uses its frost fangs to freeze fruit as a way to preserve them. If you disturb them too much, a huge swarm of those bats will chase after the perpetrator. As for why nobody knows about the frostland bat, blame that alchemist that tried to rip off Sarasa. He deemed the fangs and the bats worthless. Therefore, hunters don’t hunt them even though they don’t deteriorate.
As expected, Sarasa tagged along with Iris, Kate, and the other gatherers wearing coats and gloves. Of course, they discover that the cave stinks badly as bats poop from above. Thankfully, Sarasa thought of that being able to create a barrier. Also, she had something that reduced the horrible smell too. Yep, she thought about everything.
They eventually find young ones as Iris urges them to touch the fang, but Sarasa won’t allow her to. I find it funny how Sarasa scares Iris from touching the fang. After all, she doesn’t want a mishap like last time by needing to fix her finger or reattach it. But, of course, Iris saw this as Sarasa teasing her, which is funny.
It gets funnier when Iris bumps into a frozen skeleton. She screams, and a bunch of bats chases after her. Everyone came to save her, but they slid down on the ice and fell somewhere. At least they found the big bats and hunted all of them.
After managing to leave the cave, Sarasa showed how easy it is to take the fangs off using fancy gloves. The gathers liked them so much that he ordered a batch, which Sarasa made immediately. Of course, Lorea seems worried about Sarasa’s lack of sleep, but she managed to do it. I find it funny how Kate and Iris get freaked out by many gloves on a clothesline.
Also, Sarasa made unique hats with crystals made from fangs that cool off the user. Lorea seems to like it. Of course, this gives Sarasa an idea to possibly sell them outside the village for money. That is after she received her freezer and refrigerator and got them working. Finally, she convinced her friends with some expensive cookies, which they really enjoyed.
While she risked having the villagers make hats for her and adding the cooling effect, can her plan work? Maybe, but there is the chance she will lose money and end up back at square one. I guess we won’t know for sure until next time.
Sarasa and Lorea bring joy to my heart, especially Lorea. So precious. You’re quite lucky Sarasa.
Neat little frost bat hunt. Best part was the poop.
Agreed, they are a precious pairing and it should be nice to see more good moments.
Yes, the poop part was funny though.
