With Ginny letting Moffy go with the flock of black swans, she is no longer a witch. As a result, she quits the band. As expected, Luminous Witches’ future is now in question with Ginny gone.
From last time, Ginny finally found Moffy’s relatives thanks to Ellie’s help. However, by releasing Moffy, Ginny gives up her witch’s powers. Ellie apparently didn’t think of that and the possible implications.
As expected, Inori seems the most upset since she is the closest to Ginny. Also, Ginny eventually leaves without saying goodbye to anyone. I have to admit that Ginny’s last moments with Inori were bittersweet. Is it goodbye for her? That is after she explains how she met Moffy and her intentions to bring her back to her flock. Now that it is complete, she plans to visit some spots before returning home.
Either way, everyone felt a bit down about Ginny’s sudden departure. After all, like Haruka, Honoka, Chika, Uzuki, and Kanon, Ginny is the group’s center. That is why having Ellie take that position seems a bit off-putting, although I understand why they did this. The performance is closed off to the public, but Ginny was always there to make it work. Without her, it seems the group doesn’t have much direction.
On the other hand, they aren’t giving up on her return. As Ginny finds a purpose, the girls think about doing a just-in-case scenario. Also, it’s nice to see Milasha encourage Inori not to give up and create her best work so that she can become proud to show it to Ginny. Not only that, not all hope is lost as Inori believes that Ginny can reestablish her contract with Moffy. After all, Moffy chose her, meaning that Ginny made the mistake of releasing her.
Also, I like how Mana and Maria think the ideal number is 9. They probably heard that 9 members are the legendary number for idols that Keke and Mei preaches. Also, having a clear center with only 8 members is challenging. Also, Ellie blamed herself for helping Ginny to reunite Moffy with its flock, but Aira didn’t believe so. Just imagine how Ginny would feel if she never found Moffy’s relatives.
As for Ginny, she did some farm work and went around various places in London. She never sang since coming back, which disappointed the children. She is doing some soul searching as to what to do now while remembering her time with the band.
After people started singing a familiar song that her group sang on a train, people eventually recognized Ginny. She changed her mind as she started crying. Luminous Witches is her home, and she wants to keep singing. At least she arrived right before they took off.
The girls weren’t wrong to include and make a costume for her. But, I wonder, can Ginny reestablish her contract with Moffy. Given the flock might be in Gallia, with the feather Inori has, Ginny can make it happen. We’ll finally see what happens in the finale.
Not much to say this time. It was a “I’m not good enough to sing. NO WAIT! YES I AM” episode.
Looking forward to the finale.
Not too surprising at the very least, but hopefully Moffy will come back to Ginny.
Also, seeing Ginny so close to Inori’s face make it seem like they are going to kiss, sadly soo close, but they didn’t.
