Last time, Otome revealed something about finding an Oka model to Nagi. As he goes on a business trip, it pushes Karasuba to work harder.
Last time, Nagi went away on a trip to inspect a doll. Yes, a doll that might be an Oka model, but I highly doubt it. More on that later.
Of course, Karasuba wants to improve the sales as she wants to impress Nagi. But, unfortunately, changing up the menu didn’t go as expected. After all, Haizakura, while skilled at singing, is not so good at other things like serving food.
Sure, Houkiboshi prep the desert, Baked Glancia. I find it funny how Haizakura puts too much brandy, and she creates a big fire when she lits it. Yes, it’s funny to see Houkiboshi and Karasuba panic as Gekka and Retzel just stood there. But I find it cute how Retzel brushed off Haizakura’s mishap.
Either way, that dish isn’t going to be on the menu. However, the Capital Fair might be their ticket to bringing in more customers as Chiyo shows them a flyer. As expected, if they performed there, it could give them a boost of customers. However, it seems that Gekka doesn’t want to while everyone looks forward to it.
As expected, Gekka doesn’t want to. Believe it or not, she is the only one that didn’t perform on stage. Does it have to do with her being broken, or it’s more towards being stage fright? After all, Gekka decides to sing one night. Her song catches the attention of an old couple.
Apparently, when Gekka realizes this, she becomes shy as she returns to the café. Of course, they returned the next day and invited her to dinner at the café. They really wanted to hear her sing. Not to mention, they had a daughter that looked like Gekka but died from an illness at a young age. The grandfather draws a heart on Gekka’s palm as a good luck charm to get over her stage flight.
It seems that Retzel finds the old couple a bit sus. I like how Retzel offered Gekka her gun on a serving tray, thinking she would need it. However, she doesn’t seem to want it, which might be the wrong choice as she spends more time with them. It looks as if they are treating her like their daughter and want to possibly adopt her. There is no way Nagi would allow that.
It seems that Retzel’s suspicions were correct. Gekka revealed to Houkiboshi talked about stuff, especially the Black Cat Cafe and Nagi. That is after Gekka pondered about performing on stage. I can see why Retzel got worried, and she might be correct.
That same night, the girls are backstage about to come on. Gekka finds out the couple is missing. That is until Houkiboshi finds them in Nagi’s office snooping around. After all, Karasuba usually takes care of it. That is when Gekka came in and scared them with the guns as she only shot their headwear. It was enough to scare them before they got arrested. It seems that Gekka feels down and starts crying, realizing that she invited spies.
From this, she realizes that her days of recognizance are over for letting her guard down. Then again, maybe she is not meant to do this anymore as the war is over. Like Retzel, she needs to find a new purpose, and hopefully, she will take up singing after all. Maybe after seeing the admissions ticket and a photo of the spies’ daughter, she might finally gain the courage to overcome her stage flight. We’ll see what happens next time, as they might need to save him.
As for Nagi, he went to the site and saw the doll. Obviously, he knew it was no Oka model. He refuses to restore it, although some soldiers threaten him. Otome loses contact with him and becomes worried, especially Karasuba, who seems the most anxious. Also, it seems that Retzel can’t control any of the robots as she is from a different lineage. This is made apparent already, given she came from a different territory.
Poor Gekka. What made it sadder was they didn’t lie about her reminding them of their daughter. So sad.
Yes, it’s sad, especially since their daughter has a strong resemblance. Still, wonder why they need to go that far to gain access to Nagi’s office. It’s obvious they are up to no good.
Hopefully, we can finally see Gekka sing now.
