At last, the last group member, Karasuba, finally gets the spotlight as Houkiboshi regains her voice. But, you might be wondering, what is the thing that Karasuba broke on her? Well, it becomes apparent.
It seems that the doll seen from the very beginning of the first episode finally makes an appearance. Unfortunately, she is an empty shell of her former self as she has no logic system. The Imperial Line Faction experimented by putting a first-generation logic system in a doll. Yep, it went haywire and caused it to go out of control. More on that later.
With that, since Gekka and Houkiboshi got time in the spotlight, it’s time for Karasuba. She is the most serious out of the group that she is the one that complains about Haizakura. Apparently, Houkiboshi and Haizakura did a practice performance, and Karasuba didn’t like how Haizakura and Houkiboshi were distracted by their work. But, of course, Chiyo is enjoying the whole thing. Yes, I find it silly how she is wearing a small fake mustache.
Either way, things are looking up for the café thanks to Haizakura starting to sing on stage. As expected, Haizakura wants Karasuba to join the singing, but she doesn’t want to. Moreover, Karasuba doesn’t like how Nagi is so soft on Haizakura as she starts to sing.
I find it funny how Haizakura went into the office and heard her sing. Yep, she didn’t react well to this. Either way, they received a reservation and requested a singing performance. Yep, Haizakura pushes Karasuba to join in. Not too surprising to see Karasuba having a decent singing voice since she has the voice of Yuki Setsuna, after all.
Haizakura noticed something wrong with Karasuba’s left leg as she didn’t bow. That is when Gekka points out the thing that is broken on Karasuba. It has to do with her left leg as Karasuba gets upset at her. Yep, Haizakura ends up crying, but it’s not too surprising to see something broken about her. After all, we saw the same with Gekka’s inability to smile and Houklboshi’s can’t speak. Of course, those things got resolved thanks to Haizakura, but can she do the same for Karasuba?
As Haizakura tries to give her a shake as an apology, she catches Haizakura as she apologizes. She reveals that Nagi is what bought her to life again as she connected to Haizakura. Apparently, Nagi carried what looked like Karasuba and found parts to repair her while saving her logic system.
I can see why Karasuba has flaws since Nagi repaired her with different parts. Then again, in the first episode, she was in the photo with a bunch of soldiers standing next to Nagi. So there is a possibility that Karasuba lost her memories after Nagi rebuilt her after being recovered. After all, she did not mention what happened during the war, unlike Gekka and Houkiboshi. Even so, I can see why Krasuba remains loyal to her creator as he brings her back to life. Still, she appears happy that Haizakura invited her.
The next day on the day of the reserved plate, Nagi had some business to do. Yes, it has to do with that rogue automata that caused them to take refuge in a shelter. All this time, Karasuba becomes worried about him after hearing what is happening. Haizakura notices that Karasuba. There is probably a reason he didn’t bring Karasuba along. Still, Haizakura insists, even though it’s a risky move. Karasuba eventually met and tried to protect him, but her left leg became damaged. Thankfully, Nagi created a device to stop the vouge automata.
We see why Nagi doesn’t want Karasuba to come. He mentions that Karasuba is not a combat doll as he carried her back when he first met her. Nagi admits that he doesn’t see Karasuba as his servant or a combat doll. He wants her to not worry too much about him and become friends with the other dolls at the café. Nagi is willing to swap the leg, but Karasuba doesn’t want to since she holds her body dear.
From this, Karasuba manages to make it back. Yep, Gekka bought a chair so she can sing despite her leg. So yes, it appears that the automata at the café, especially Haizakura has her back. Either way, it’s a stunning performance. Still, I wonder if Karasuba will find a new resolve. After all, it seems that Nagi still has the hots for Otome and doesn’t see Karasuba as a love interest. Even so, I wonder when the fifth automata will appear. Probably very soon.
At least Nagi earned Karasuba’s affections so I let it slide. Another good episode regardless. Besides Major Otome came back. Another plus. Hopefully the new doll in the OP will have eyes only for Haizakura.
It’s not too surprising given that he saved her from being scraped. Aside from that, yes I am curious about the last doll that has yet to get introduced. Probably, she will appear soon.
