Now that Takina is part of LycoReco, whether she likes it or not, they receive another mission. To save a hacker named Walnut, but who is Walnut exactly?
If you recall, from last time, the Allen Institute tasked Walnut to hack the DA. That can explain the breakdown of communication. We know what happened to Takina as she jumped in to save her teammate, even if it meant getting kicked out.
That said, who is the guy that hired Walnut to decide to detonate the condo he is in after asking about Chisato and the arms deals. That guy is apparently Yoshi. Apparently, Walnut’s rival, Robota, sold him off as he wants to be the top hacker. Perhaps, to win the favor of the Allen Institute. The funny thing is that Yoshi visited the café, which makes me wonder what relationship she has with Chisato. More on that later.
The mission this time is to help Walnut escape. The funny thing is that Walnut several times over. Also, Mizuki is preparing an escape route. So I guess this mission is about to become exciting.
On the way there, I find Takina’s interactions with Chisato and Takina on the train amusing. First, it seems as if Chisato is getting closer to Takina as she eats a station bento. Then, Takina decides to drink jelly until Chisato feeds her an egg. I find it cute how Takina subconsciously eats it. Even in the second episode, Chisato is making progress in defrosting Takina.
Takina points out the car they will drive when they get to their destination. Yes, Chisato wants to drive a supercar, but Walnut has already picked a car. Yes, an all-electric hatchback. Probably, this is not a good idea as Robota hacked the vehicle, aiming it at the ocean at top speed. But, thanks to Takina, she shot down one of Robota’s drones, which provided him a video feed. So, at least they barely made it. Also, I find it funny how Walnut is a squirrel instead of a thin, young guy.
As expected, Robota’s henchmen are still at large as Chisato and Takino with Walnut hid in an abandoned supermarket. The henchmen eventually catch up, and Chisato uses her non-lethal weapons to take them down. She also shows her bullet-dodging to the likes of The Matrix. Does Chisato have the power of famous superheroes and superheroines?
Of course, Takina injures some henchmen, which Chisato ends up treating. As expected, Takina questions her values since Lycoris has the authorization to kill bad guys. This causes Walnut and Takina to go down the wrong path, which causes the demise of Walnut. I guess Robota is happy that he receives what he wants all along. Also, the person who hired him to get rid of Walnut is no other than Yoshi. Makes me wonder why he frequents LycoRoco and has a fascination with Chisato.
While Chisato feels upset over her mission failure, it was part of the plan. The person who was in the squirrel costume was Mizuki all along. The actual Walnut is in the suitcase, which is bulletproof luggage, which is a blonde-haired, short-statured girl. The person who was driving the ambulance was just Mika. Yep, this was part of the plan to fake Walnut’s death. In other words, it was a huge success. At least Mizuki is happy to get Chisato’s reaction to this all along.
You might be wondering what Walnut’s real name is? It’s Kurumi, which also means walnut in Japanese. Either way, she is helping LycoReco in the future as she manipulates the photo they got from last time. Will they find the guy in the image? Either way, it’s funny how Takina wants to shoot her hair tie at Chisato’s forehead, but it hits Kurumi’s instead. Chisato still has her work cut out until she can fully defrost Takina.
A preview of Chisato’s sexiness along with her taste in movies were much appreciated.
The action and fun stuff remain excellent.
Kurumi being Walnut was a nice surprise. Her reveal was great too.
Intrigued to learn more about Chisato. She’s some juicy secrets. I just know it.
Yes, it’s always nice to take a glimpse into more of Chisato, maybe that is where she gets her fighting ability. Still, it’s nice that Kurumi got rescued, which can help LycoReco in the long run. Still, I agree that she is cute.
