As Mikan has to deal with vermin as she transfers schools, Shamiko tries to find a better use for her rod that can turn into anything.
It seems that Shamiko is still looking for the perfect ultimate attack. She asked Lico and Shirosawa last time, but it’s time for Anri and Shion to receive some screentime. As expected, Anri upsells Shamiko with some more chicken. Of course, Shion made a suspicious elixir. I find it hilarious that the ingredients she used were censored. It makes me wonder if Shion used the gem she snatched from Shamiko.
Either way, it seems that Mikan doesn’t like being around insects. She sees a cockroach and freaks out. Not too surprising to see them since she has a lot of garbage piled up. It’s like with The Sims 2 when they appear when you don’t clean up the trash. Interesting that Shamiko scoops them up instead of killing them, which is surprising.
At least Shamiko goes through the trouble sorting out the trash Mikan put in bags before tossing them. While taking out the garbage, she also thought about her experiences with Momo. Shamiko feels frustrated over not knowing much about Momo’s past. Yep, this makes it evident that she is lovesick for Momo.
Not to mention, Momo suffers the misfortune of Mikan being upset over insects with pipes bursting and her breakfast not being made. I find it interesting that Momo finally got a hold of that “Simple Black T-Shirt” she was looking for.
Either way, Momo thinks that creating a barrier for insects for Mikan is a solution using old flyers. Yes, this is an excuse to train Shamiko’s magic powers. Sadly, the barrier doesn’t last long due to her weak magical powers, meaning she had to create a stack of them. Still, it’s interesting how Momo combined the motif of her older sister Sakura and Shamiko on the seal.
In the second half, Seiko did a happy dance as she washed futons and had them hang in the sun using Shamiko’s rod. When Shamiko offers to do the same for Momo’s blankets, she doesn’t seem happy that Shamiko is misusing her rod. I think the funniest thing Shamiko transforms the rod into is an idol fan. I find this amusing since Momo’s voice actress, Kitou Akari, also voices idols like Kanata and Sayu. Sadly, when Ryoko breaks the news that an idol fan is not a rod-like item, it transforms back. Momo now regrets doing this.
It seems that at the moment, Shamiko’s rod is only powerful in the dreamscape. But, of course, Ryoko has a bunch of legendary weapons she wants her older sister to transform her rod to. Sadly, Shamiko can only transform her rod into ordinary objects like regular chopsticks. Lilith thinks Shamiko holds herself back.
With that, Shamiko goes into the dreamscape to see Lilith. Sadly, Momo can’t come since she is not related nor entirely on the dark side. So, bribes won’t work here. Still, it’s nice to see Ryoko become excited to personally meet Lilith for the first time. I find it funny how Lilith comes up with a Musou game of her own. It will be funny if someone makes a game like this in real life.
Lilith instructs Shamiko to defeat 30000 Lilith sandbags. As Shamiko struggles with her regular weapon, she fails to transform it into the sword Ryoko suggests. Instead, Shamiko resorts to rods from her video games. It works as she easily defeats all of them.
Of course, Ryoko wants a picture of Lilith. She finds a way as she uses her projecting powers. However, it looks like a ghost instead. She needs to work on that if she wants a better doll vessel. Still, I find it funny how Mikan struggles with the homework from her new school. Yep, her new school isn’t letting her off the hook easily.
Momo already training Shamiko to be her devoted housewife. Ganbare Momo!
Shamiko’s Super Famicom JRPG knowledge proved yet again video games aren’t wastes of time as our parents and grandparents claim.
Not too surprising to make Shamiko do all those seals since every bit of training helps to make her more powerful. Yes, seeing Momo realize the her rice is not being made is quite funny.
Yep, it’s obvious that she is playing a lot of those Final Fantasy games, but hopefully she can make better use of the rod as a weapon instead of transforming it to superficial items.
