As expected, a woman with a Pegasus is looking for a place to live. While Kotone can relate to her, she finds a harsh reality of finding a place suitable for her and the Pegasus. Also, we learn more about Rufuria and why she wants to do the deal to selling a mansion that used to be her home.
Before things start off, it seems that Rufuria and Raikira arrived. Yep, Kotone was patting her horns. As expected, Rufuria touched her tail, and of course, it didn’t end well as Fa didn’t like Rufuria touching her there. As expected, Rufuria learned the hard way.
Of course, Fa decides to tickle Rufuria near her hip area, where she is ticklish. Yep, Fa received a bop on the head. Fa also massaged Rakira’s shoulders. While Rufuria thinks touching the horns doesn’t feel pleasant, I like how Rakira suggest Rufuria picturing Fa as a bunny girl. Yep, Rufuria proceeded to pet Fa’s head.
With that, a lady named Toto came to the RPG Real Estate office as she is looking for a home for herself and a pet Pegasus named Shiro. Yep, she happened to receive him as an egg after hatching it. They are very close, and she can’t leave her behind. Also, she got a new job in the city as a quest receptionist. Yes, that job that receives 400 applications and against all odds, she got the job. Sounds like the experience most young people had when they receive their first job in a big city.
Not only that, Kotone finds out that Toto came from the same area she came from. With that, she tries her best to find a best place for them. She shows her a run-down shack, which doesn’t have enough space for Shiro as he must stay outside. There is also a spacious apartment that can fit both, but the rent is too high. Yep, Toto is willing to give up her job if she can’t be with Shiro. This seems like a waste, which causes Kotone to feel a bit down.
Of course, she overlooked a place that is inaccessible for most, but rather close for Toto. After all, Shiro can fly her from home to the city rather quickly compared to walking. The place is also spacious, but hard to get to in conventional manners. Since it’s vacant for a while, it’s cheap too. Yep, it shows that there is a needle in the haystack and Kotone needs to look a bit harder. Either way, it’s good that things ended well for them.
As expected, the most interesting part of this episode is the second half as it deals with Rufuria and her past. Apparently, she scored a big real estate deal with a buyer. Yes, with a developer wanting to buy an abandoned mansion to build an apartment on. Since it’s obvious that this place was special to her, she is determined to make the deal happen.
Of course, Rakira saw the place Rufuria is selling and wants to handle it. She gets upset over Rufuria not telling her. Shortly afterwards, Rufuria got upset at Rakira as this is her chance to get a promotion if she made this happen. Rakira didn’t like the fact that Rufuria won’t rely on her more. This causes Rakira to become upset at Rufuria still insists on doing the deal. Yep, things got serious as Rakira calls her a jerk and runs out of the office.
Thankfully, Kotone finds Rakira as she reveals that Rufuria’s parents used to own the mansion that is part of the deal. Apparently, Rufuria’s family sold weapons and since the war ended, her family fell into hard times. Thus, a bunch of kids bullied Rufuria because her family made murder tools.
As expected, Rakira, who is a tomboy protected her. It’s obvious that Rufuria wants to prove those bullies wrong by working up the ranks and becoming successful. However, Rakira wants Rufuia to forget about this dark past and let her protect her. After all, Rakira wants Rufuria to not remember this and remain cheerful like she always does.
You might be wondering, why Rufuria is determined to make this deal go through? While Rakira wants to change Rufuria’s mind, Rufuria finally shared how she felt. Sure, Rufuria and Rakira had a lot of good memories at this mansion. Besides, she wants to sell the place with the hope that others can create new memories there.
We also learned why Rufuria decided to become a priest. It’s because she can’t help to see Rakira take all the injuries from protecting her during their childhood. After seeing the injuries Rakira had after she protected Rufuria from the kid’s thrown rocks, Rufuria doesn’t want to see this happen again.
It’s obvious that she can’t help seeing her best friend or rather, girlfriend become injured by a bunch of rascals. Yes, kids are very mean as this is unjustified. By becoming a priest, she can heal Rakira’s injuries to protect her. Even so, I find it funny how Rakira vows to become even stronger. I have a feeling that she is already there with all those dumbbells.
The next day, Kotone and Fa brings some flowers. Yes, so that Rufuria and Rakira will make up. The funny thing, they already did as Rakira feels Rufuria some cake. Now that is a lovely moment that their relationship is even stronger than before.
Of course, we aren’t forgetting that moment with Rufuria drinking coffee. I find it funny how she can’t handle black coffee but realizes that seems childish and try to deal with it. I can relate since I don’t like drinking coffee or tea that manner without some sugar. It’s obvious that I can’t handle the bitterness. Some will say that this isn’t manly, I just don’t give a crap what people think. Still, I find it interesting how Fa eats about anything, even bitter flowers when uncooked. Yep, Kotone’s reaction to this seeing her garden eaten was funny.
Overall, I feel that overall, the episodes are finally becoming more enjoyable after a rough start. Well, the next episode should be a fun one for some as the beach episode is finally here.
Best part of the unicorn segment was his hilariously unsettling moaning when the girls rubbed his belly. Scratch that. that’s #2. The best part was Toto.
Rakira and Rufuria are a wonderful couple and deserve all the happiness.
Cultured episode next week! Get pumped dood!
Not too surprising since he is a majestic creature. Still, I can see why Toto can’t separate from her, but she was a fun character.
It’s nice that Rakira and Rufuria pairing is even stronger than before. Still, it’s nice to learn more about Rufuria’s past, although it’s kind of sad given how much she went through.
Yes, the next episode shouldn’t disappoint.
