Now that Shamiko wrote a “challenge letter,” it seems that Momo interprets it as something else. Yep, a date. I wonder what happened after that special moment and what led to it. This is where things get a bit interesting.
It’s finally summer break and of course Shamiko expected to challenge Momo to a duel. Yes, so she can defeat Momo and make her a vassal. Of course, Momo wore in a cute dress, pretty much the one Mikan usually wears thinking it’s a date.
As expected, Shamiko’s letter was different from the one she gave to Momo. Shamiko used ominous words and the perfect kanji to convey her feelings. Of course, I find it funny that her teacher thinks that Lilith is a bad influence on her as she that she took her away. Of course, with all that help from her teacher, Shamiko wrote something that is more like a love letter than a challenge letter.
Meanwhile, Momo read the letter and doesn’t know what to make of it. She believes it’s a date and decides on an outfit. Of course, Mikan doesn’t seem to like Momo’s fashion choices and thinks her first outfit is better. I find it amusing how Momo decides to borrow Mikan’s clothing as she tries to take her clothes off. Believe it or not, the dress Momo is wearing is the type of Mikan usually wears.
Eventually, Momo takes Shamiko to various places. Yes, this includes a park with a lot of cats and a Gacha machine. Somehow, she managed to pull two of the Miss Tama Sakura embedded in meat figure. Yep, it’s obvious where this is going. As Momo takes Shamiko to places, Shamiko becomes annoyed that Momo won’t challenge her. This is when Momo gets depressed. It’s obvious that she wants to go on a date with Shamiko rather than fight her.
After seeing how depressed Momo becomes, Shamiko changes her mind and have fun with her. Of course, Momo changes back to her usual casual wear. Yep, she has a special magical stick that allows her to change her outfit on the fly. That is quite nifty.
As expected, Shamiko buys two dark hair clips thinking she finally corrupted Momo. Of course, she still wears them when she comes over, making it obvious that she fallen for Shamiko even further. I find it funny how Shamiko forgets about Lilith, who is still at school sitting on her desk.
In the second half, Mikan is apparently looking for a new place to live. She is trying to look for an apartment complex called Banda Terrace. Of course, this is where Shamiko lives. Yep, Mikan doesn’t realize how run down it is. Still, it’s obvious that she got tired crashing at Momo’s place that she wanted her own place. Since the rent is cheap for Light and Dark clan members. I wonder why? Special arrangement done by Chiyoda Sakura?
As expected, Mikan apologizes for what happened the other day. She decides to give one of her dresses to Shamiko. It’s too bad we didn’t get to see a full short of Shamiko wearing it since she looks cute in it. Hopefuly someone make a fanart of her wearing it. This is because Shamiko didn’t like how much of her shoulders she is showing. However, it seems that Lilith likes this kind of dress as she is seen wearing it.
As expected, Mikan shares some possible reasons why she moved. Yes, she doesn’t seem to like how Momo makes a lot of noise while doing weird training. Despite this, she owes Momo and her older sister some gratitude as Sakura manages to decrease the effect of her curse. Mikan shared what kind of person Sakura is like. That is until Mikan revealed some things behind the wallpaper with snakes and spiders coming out.
As expected, Shamiko promises that she will help her remove the curse. Of course, Lilith thinks it’s best to find Sakura first given her powers to remove curses. That is when Shamiko’s mother and Ryouko notices Mikan and Shamiko. Momo of course came by and wanting to give a gift to Shamiko’s mother to introduce herself. This is when Shamiko’s mother barges in.
Obviously, Momo went into Mikan’s apartment wondering where she went. I find it funny how Lilith taunts Momo feels lonely now with Mikan and Shamiko being best buddies. She even went there with the frozen dinners Momo make when she is lonely.
As expected, Momo becomes a bit jealous and wants to move in, at least temporarily. Yep, Momo is becoming like Adachi Sakura in this moment not wanting someone else take Shamiko’s heart away from her. As expected, she throws the ancestor statue out of the window thanks to Lilith’s taunting. I guess she went a bit too overboard.
In the second half, Mikan gives Shamiko’s mother some gifts. The next day, Momo goes shopping for gifts when she runs into Anri working at the stall. Momo just wanted to pick up free bags of rice when she offers Momo to buy some expensive meat. She really knows how to upsell her. It seems that Shamiko’s mother likes the beef she received that she decides to throw a party tonight. As expected, they distract Mikan by having her go food shopping with Ryoko.
As expected, Momo is bad at cooking, but somehow everything turned out alright after she transformed and used her magical girl magic. When Shamiko tasted the food, she was out of it for a bit given how good it tasted. Yes, she even takes some beef that is seasoned as well. Either way, we’ll get to learn more about Mikan’s past a bit more next time. It should be interesting.
So happy to have ShamiMomo and the gang back still blessing us with their manic humor.
Yep. it’s always nice to see Shamiko and Momo back. Still, I find it funny how Momo really moved next to Shamiko, which makes me wonder how their relationship will develop from here.
